This one is probably among her best video. So many hidden meanings.... The loss of faith, the loss of a relationship, the blood which can be viewed as menstrual blood and thus she is becoming a new person... She is wearing a black dress as she leaves the church as if she is in mourning, she may have regain her sight... A psychologist did a review years agobabout this video saying that it was very intricate and that it touches so many themes. Thanks for your review !!!

Idem In my top 3 for me too! Too bad you don't understanstand the lyrics of her songs because Mylene is also one of the BEST WRITER in France! The lyrics are as well as her music videos and shows! Particularly for this song...The video was censored in 1999 of course. I hope there will be english subtitles in the next videos of Mylene (?) ...(Sorry for my english)
The last frame of the clip (here at 08:26) shows the reverse image of Christ in a pool of blood. When you remember the symbolism of blood in Christianity, it sends shivers down your spine and personally it makes me extremely uncomfortable.

The lyrics include references to artist Egon Schiele - an Austrian artist whose work is a favorite of Mylène. His work includes female nudes that many consider to be disturbing. This clip also connects with a line (spoken in English) at the end of an earlier clip (Pourvu qu'elles soient douces): "... God in his infinite mercy can only wash away men's sins in their own blood." And one more note - the stage design for her current (Nevermore) tour looks a lot like the setting of this video.

Some form of spirituality I guess that’s necessary for everyone. But now, to be a religion in particular, I admit that I can’t name any. I prefer finding force and generosity down here, from person to person it’s more important. If you look at the video, when she sings : YOU, you let me comprise myself. @@auryflam79 UP to you. I read her writings in AQLO MM and l'emprise. She has spiritually grown from 1996 then. Now she reads Padre Pio's life, sainte Thérèse de Lisieux..., she loves going to church and cathedrals... 2022 interview. She was educated in Catholic school. 👍
