A good selection of food in Aldi but pretty expensive compared to ASDA here in Torquay which is near Plymouth in Devon UK. You will be amazed at the prices at ASDA. The pizza 🍕 looks great but I can no longer eat due to having Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I would love to see more videos around the area where you live.. You would probably get the same foods for half the price here and a lot of food items you get 2 for the price of 1 here. Enjoy the pizza 🍕 and lots of pepperoni there 😁👌

I'm born in the northwest of England, live in New Zealand and you're cheaper than we are, fruit and vegetables are similar, everything else is way cheaper in the US. I live in the heart of vineyard country here, but 300grams of grapes, about 3/4 of a pound are about $5 US. A decent one person ribeye steak is about $20 US. The prices here are unbelievable. The average rent for a rundown 3 bedroom, uninsulated home here is about $2700 US per month and the minimum wage which the vast majority of people earn is about $600 per week, power is on average $280 per month. Hence New Zealand has a huge per capita amount of homelessness and a growing problem with fentanyl, violent crime is through the roof and people say how beautiful New Zealand is the idyllic paradise.. stay safe guys, love your content.

I LOVED watching you guys ❤️(you're like my additional American family 😁) go round a store we are familiar with. However it's SO VERY DIFFERENT to our Aldi! Shockingly so 😮! When considering that at this time, there isn't much difference between the $ and the £ For example all our milk comes from what's called Dairy cow's, they are all mainly grass fedand through the absolute WORST of the winter month's fed hay, with some pellets of compressed grass with added nutrients (but this is only in the frosty snowy weather). Everything except your fruit and veg, and good Irish cheese! (I'm from Scotland and wonder if there was any Scottish cheese 🤔🤔) I would say is more expensive even in an Aldi store, which was so surprising! In the Scottish Aldi, all our milk, cheese, and most of our soft fruits in season, and veg which can be grown here and meats are marked with a Scottish flag to show that they are products from here, many relatively local, or at least from our tiny country 😂. It's a great sign of quality, when you know it's grown locally. Also low air miles! It's not travelled 100's and 100's of miles just to get on your plate 😂 ❤

Some of the Aldo own brand names I do recognise but some were foreign to me ALSO since Aldi is a GERMAN supermarket chain they also sell German made chocolates (some of the more premium in house brands which here in the UK is called Möser Roth or something like that which their own brand of luxury German import chocolate and some of it is quite good and a whole lot better than stuff like Hershey's)

I’d recommend that you give the own brands a try, you may be surprised at the taste and the cost saving (compare A1 sauce to the Aldi own brand $4.48 v $1.89! That’s massive saving). When we’re in the states we do a good deal of our grocery shopping at Aldi (we like Publix too though). I’m with you on the lack of lamb (and other meats), it seems to be beef or chicken only in most stores.

Really interesting video on Aldi in the USA guys. I noticed how you both walked straight past the Aldi own brand chocolate... Aldi chocolate is very nice compared to a lot of other brands out there, especially here in the UK. I really recommend you give it a try, you could be very pleasantly surprised at the high quality and low price. The peanut butter Aldi sell here in the UK is also second to none in flavour and quality so maybe give the peanut butter in your store a try also. Looking forward to more of your great videos 👍

Aldi in the UK is known mainly for it's own brand (brand knock-offs) which are really cheap. It doesn't stock a huge amount of branded products, and where there are branded products they are not particularly cheap either.

When Lindsay said “20 years”, I started to wonder when it came over here; apparently 1990, but I don’t think I was really aware of what it was until about 2015ish. The coin in the cart thing, drives me nuts every time! I hate using that. I put up currency converter; cause even I was curious. Did you say $7 (£5.50 uk) for a pizza! 😮 ours at Aldi can range from 1.99-5.50. Also I don’t know about yours, but ours does super6 range; which is a super cheap fruit and veg which changes out every week…like currently cherries are 99p ($1.26) but they won’t be on offer next week. If that makes sense. Remember guys you can use the seeds out of some foods you get and regrow them. ❤ Our avocados come in packs of 2, 4 or individual. I find them expensive I think it always depends on your budget no matter where you go. The nuts are expensive but ours are in small bags, not huge tubs. Usually around the £2 mark here, but just checked the website and the everyday essential range of mixed nuts is 59p. 😮 the butter cookies you can find in England at Poundland. The goats cheese looks nice. I don’t think we have that here with the cranberries. 😂we think the same guys! Lunchables are garbage! Aldi chocolate is so good! I love their pretzel chocolate bars. The cereals at Aldi here are £1.99 if you pick the cheap ones. Laundry detergent £3.79-£5.99 ($4.82-$7.62) You guys may have bigger items. In volume. That pizza is huge! 😮 yeah our pizzas are small, you’ll definitely have a culture shock when you come here. Yeah, I guess if you only buy fresh stuff, then Aldi is super cheap. It’s the snacks that get me every-time and then I have no money after going.

Good Morning Beautiful People!!! 😊 Ugh sweet potatoes, and avocados ...both are vile. My ex husband made chips with sweet potatoes once, thinking they were like potatoes... 🤢 I've never tried okra, unless we call it something else? But I don't think so anyway, I always hear it referred to in American shows though. That's weird what you class as "greens" ... Wasn't that like a salad type mix you picked up, that you called greens? To us "greens" are a dark green leafy cabbage/spinach type of vegetable that you boil, to have with a roast dinner usually. Yours appeared to be much paler, and near the cold raw salad stuff. Interesting. Some of those prices were pretty reasonable really. The cheeses especially were cheaper than I thought they'd be. We also eat the processed cheese slices here, but typically we eat them at BBQs to make cheeseburgers. Being rubbery anyway it melts much quicker on a hot burger, and is the same type of cheese that McDonald's and other fast food burgers are made with. I don't like cheese on my burgers though, I like my burger on the bottom half of the bap, covered in raw onion and ketchup, topped with lettuce and tomato that has some mayo on, then the top of the bap. No cheese on mine! Btw we say Gouda like GOW DAH (sounds like powder) which is how it is properly pronounced in the Netherlands where it's made. Actually the way the Dutch people say it, it actually has a mixture of a G sound and an H sound together, sort of like Howder, but with a grrr sound before the H, which I'm useless at doing! Same as I can't roll my Rrr's like the French people can do. 😂 I don't know if those types of sounds are learnt from birth, but the majority of English people can't roll their Rrr's or comfortably say things like Gouda as the Dutch would. It's not GH like the word ghost, where the H is silent, it's a proper G and H sound made together, which makes me cough! Irish and Scottish people, typically find continental European pronunciations much easier than English people do. Some of those prices were surprisingly good, some shockingly bad. The pizza seemed expensive, especially as you didn't appear to have many alternative pizzas to choose from. It wasn't MEGA expensive, we do have some that are priced higher for a more fancy brand, but there are also a ton of other much cheaper alternatives to pick from. Ours certainly wouldn't start out at that end of the price range I mean, that kind of price point would be for a fancier brand. That bread though was way expensive! Bread is a European staple food, and if you ever get to France (especially) you'll realise why! Heavenly! Actually it's probably why Americans call them "Dinner rolls" when to us, they're just rolls. Hmmm I never thought of that. 🤔 You probably associate rolls and crusty breads with being something fancy you'd have with a posh dinner in a restaurant...and at those prices I can see why! Most Europeans have bread, real butter, and salad - served with cheeses, sliced meats, or seafood, every single day for at least lunch, and often for their dinner too. Fresh crusty bread with real butter is something I will never tire of the taste of, it is so tasty and smells gorgeous. That tin of butter biscuits was also sky high! We get those tins in Poundland very often, especially at Christmas time, same as shortbread tins too. It seems your prices went from one extreme to the other, but at least in Aldi you were more comfortably able to afford things you wouldn't buy in most of your supermarkets it seems, so I bet you enjoyed that. Such a shame you can't enjoy a wide variety any day of the week though, like we can. It was weird seeing the start of your video as the image was reversed, so you looked like you were driving a British car 😊. I know that Aldi is NEW, but where is everyone??? I can't believe how empty the store was during a normal day. I think the only time I've ever been in a supermarket that was THAT empty, was if it was just before closing time at midnight! I did see your unboxing video but didn't comment, but I am very glad you're back again. I missed seeing you all a lot, and I guess you're entitled to go on holiday...but don't make a habit of it, alright? 😂🤣😅 Oodles and noodles of love to you 3! 😘😘😘 xxxxx PS: Hell NO to that "bacon" 🤮 .... Oh my lord, I wouldn't eat that for a dare! There's no meat in it, that's all the bits of fat I trim off bacon usually. Honestly I could just about cry at what Americans put into their bodies, I can't even believe the meat factory packs that up as a food choice, let alone calling it bacon. What on earth are they feeding the pigs to get that thick of a layer of fat to form on their flesh.? I've never seen that much fat in 20 packs of bacon, let alone one. A BIT of fat adds flavour, sure, but that much is just a prolonged suicide method. I know, I know, you guys love it...but you SHOULDN'T! I can't believe they are allowed to sell that and call it "food!". I suddenly don't want lunch... 🤢

Wow, I guessed $85 dollars so I was very close! I must say that your Aldi is way more expensive than mine here in the U.K. I went shopping there this morning and spent £44.40 for a whole week's shopping, and that included a bottle of red wine and 18 cans of premium cider! £44.40 is $56.33. Without the alcohol, my shopping was £29.52 ($37.45). I normally spend around £30 per week ($38). All our fruit and vegetables are way cheaper than yours. I also only pay £1.45 for 4 pints of milk (2.272 litres) which is $1.84. Butter is £1.69 ($2.14), bread is £0.65 for 400g or £0.85 for 800g ($0.82, $1.08 respectively). 7 premium bananas cost 88p ($1.12). 227g Strawberries cost £1.49 ($1.89), 200g Cherries cost £0.99 ($1.26), Tangerines cost £0.69 ($0.88), 240g Radishes cost £0.39 ($0.49), 400g Cheddar Cheese cost £2.49 ($3.16). A 4 pack of yogurts (125g pots) cost £1.79 ($2.27). 12 medium free range eggs are £2.35 ($2.98). 190g sweet and crispy salad is £0.99 ($1.26). 300g of cherry tomatoes are £0.69 ($0.88). I don't know the price of meat as I am a vegetarian but I bought 600g of breaded fish (4 fillets of wild caught pollock) for £2.99 ($3.79) for my neighbour. I was shocked by the price of your bread and milk and meat. I used to shop at Asda (Walmart) but their prices have really skyrocketed over this past year, so I now shop at Aldi and my shopping bill has reduced by 50%.

Yes, we have to use a £1 coin to get a cart here in Britain, at least at every store I've been too. You can get plastic "fobs" to use in stead of a coin. I believe it's to reduce the number of stolen trolleys that get dumped in rivers and canals and what not.

Hi Aldi is cheap if you go no-brand, they usually have stuff made, often by well known manufacturers and packaged in their own wrap. The cost savings occur when you ignore the brand but concentrate on what you need, organic, beef, wholemeal bread etc...Try them all, ou may find you can swap lots out without an issue
