Since first signed into law in 1990, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) has made sweeping changes to American buildings, structures, and access ways.
This video is intended to serve as a training tool about the basic parts of the ADA that you may see in your own day-to-day life. We will cover accessibility to buildings, transportation access for people with disabilities, and your right to vote.

Well done. I live in a community where buildings are accessible, but the sidewalks aren't. People using wheelchairs need to ride in the street. I think people take mobility for granted and that makes me sad to see that.

Thanks for the information but the bathroom example; how would that be acceptable without a button to push??(in my case) What if my arms did not work and wheelchair bound but It still passes because it’s lighter than 5 pounds of force?? I would need an aid or constantly call for help, no?? No independence

You won't in a capitalistic system as the system is designed for profits NOT peoples well being unless their ir profits to be made. Health industry is a business capital is all over the world

Why promote a law that no village or small town will enforce. People are donating millions of dollars to the ADA and all they do is make up ads. How about enforcing the laws and teaching the mayors of these small towns that they HAVE the authority to go onto that business property and ticket those who do not have a disability plaque or tag. Even the State Highway Patrol in Mississippi refuse to do anything about it.
