Those in the video isnt the band . They are some famous swedish movieactors that are goofing around . Every swed knows who they are ⚘⚘⚘. I LOVE Björn Afzelius .
Mycket bra video - tack!
They absolutely tried to be funny or goofy, the whole "band" in the video were popular swedish actors/performers Lasse Brandeby (as Kurt Olsson), Tomas von Brömssen, Sven Wollter och Ulf Dageby (from Nationalteatern). Thanks for another reaction!
@@lou-pw6zr I can't find a source other than wikipedia as to that it's actually Dageby in the music video right now. ("Tusind stycker") It is however confirmed via IMDB and Svensk Filmdatabas that he did perform a song from the movie "Tusen Bitar" with Björn and Mikael Wiehe (as Los Suecos). Dageby also had an actor role in the Kurt Olsson movie. So considering those facts it's highly probable that it's actually Dageby in the music video if he worked with both Brandeby and Björn that are also in the same video.
I'd love to watch you react to "Fattig Bonddräng" by Astrid Lindgren, one of our most beloved authors of all time. Every swede knows her books and stories :)
Roxette, pretty much pick whatever song you want, they are all bangin! Personal favorite of classics are De Lyckliga Kompisarna, favorite "Dricka sprit och hålla käften"
Saw your reaction to GES - När vi gräver guld i USA. On the same theme, check out "Håkan Södergren - Nu tar vi dom" It was written for the hockey World Cup 1989. Sweden ended at a fourth place. But the song itself took gold.
Den gjordes för att Sverige även arrangerade hockey-VM, i den då nybyggda och hajpade Globen. Hockey-VM spelas varje år men vi gör bara en kampsång om det spelas i Sverige.
Yes silly video with Lasse Brandeby (as Kurt Olsson), Tomas von Brömssen, Sven Wollter and Ulf Dageby. I recommended a just audio because of that. It's more about the lyrics/melody/feeling than the voice but I 100% get what you mean with not strong enough. Me born in '82 grew up with this on the radio so it will always hold childhood memories and a special place in my heart. Looooong list of songs I think you probably like and some just more klassiker too and links: Peter LeMarc - Little Willie John ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HOr38Iim5mA.html Tommy Nilsson - Öppna Din Dörr (HQ) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ug9KQU6IAmY.html Jan Johansen - Se På Mig ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9EHg07V48TA.html Ulf Lundell - Öppna Landskap ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TAgrwxHAG2s.html Mauro Scocco - Till Dom Ensamma ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JcDmIExLujI.html Christer Björkman - Imorgon är en annan dag ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FR4MPLmgwAo.html Petra Marklund - Händerna mot himlen ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-f4fB9EXpMTI.html Niklas Strömstedt - Sista Morgonen ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DiTZW6J3MeA.html Cecilia Vennersten - Det Vackraste ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UBzZOV6ifH4.html Cornelis Vreeswijk - Incestvisan ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J_JJaay6i_c.html Cornelis Vreeswijk - Hönan Agda ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vgzRmxWJ30Q.html Cornelis Vreeswijk - Balladen om herr Fredrik Åkare och den söta fröken Cecilia Lind ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EMgKtVV3USo.html Jacob Hellman - Vara Vänner (Official Video) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eOSz-CJ8kOI.html Jacob Hellman - Hon har ett sätt ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aDjR9x2wmSk.html Tommy Nilsson - Dina färger var blå ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XFCMNleWp3A.html Ted Gärdestad - Sol, vind och vatten ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nqjJWzqvVPs.html Tomas Ledin - Snart tystnar musiken ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-24-Lr50lHZo.html Tomas Ledin - Hon gör allt för att göra mig lycklig ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YqlbG9B7M9g.html Orup - Jag Blir Hellre Jagad Av Vargar ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m6NUh6jep_8.html Orup - Stockholm ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-80n2rDIQuCc.html Orup - Magaluf ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HPEmibTJY1A.html Anders Glenmark - Mare Mare (Video) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z-J8HP6RUxc.html Niklas Strömstedt - Om ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BqvWO0g1qQY.html LALEH - Bjurö Klubb ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6itTQADz1V0.html Cornelis Vreeswijk - Grimasch om morgonen ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2WHYimkZTR0.html Cornelis - Grimasch Om Morgonen Live 1965 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hqO7xEZRimw.html Cornelis Vreeswijk - Ballad om censuren ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1Q_tgOqfnJw.html
Should check out Dia Psalma! One of Sweden's 4 big punk bands. They formed early 90's, with members out of Strebers (another classic, very popular swedish folk punk band) shortly after Strebers' drummer suddenly died in a car accident. With Dia Psalma's debute album, "Gryningstid" they blew up instantly. People loved their folk rock with a punk edge. they only made 2 albums and a third which was a compilation album, ironically titled "Sellout" (with album art that is a parody of Kiss' Unmasked) before they felt burned out and disappeared in '97. 2006 they returned again and has releas two more albums since then. KSMB is one of the other 4 big swedish punk bands. Love them too.
Wow. Every actor in this video are really popular actors with smash TV or movie hits.. sometimes both. The really, really well known ones. Sven Wollter ven played against Antonio Banderas!
Just went through all your reactions, good stuff. Here's some requests. the pinks - helena o jag patrik isaksson - hos dig är jag underbar orup - regn hos mig Tommy Nilsson Öppna din dörr /En dag Black Jack - inget stoppar oss nu Niklas Strömstedt - Om / Sista morgonen Nick borgen - we are all the winners Som stormen river öppet hav (5:07min version, your type of duett) Cajsa Stina Åkerström - Fråga stjärnorna Peter LeMarc - Håll om mig (both slow and pop version) Bo kaspers orkester - Svårt att säga nej Galenskaparna & After shave - konfirmationspresenten
I guess all profiles in the video are actors and comedians from Göteborg Claes Malmberg, Thomas von Brömsen, Lars Brandeby, Sven Wollter and Björn Afzelius, and that´s the point for some reason.
I love this song.. It was on one of the first "Chart"-styled programs on Swedish TV, and.. The people you laughed at.. you were right to laugh, I am fairly sure they were not the actual musicians. One (The one with the strange yellow tartanesque jacket and an odd hairdo playing the keyboard, is "Kurt Olsson" which is a "character" made by the Comedian Lasse Brandeby, the person on the Drums is Tomas Von Brömssen; Also a well known comedian).. I actually started thinking of other songs involving those comedians. Kurt Olsson used to have a TV program where he had an orchestra called "The lady orchestra".. and he sang old songs that used to be sung by Siw Malmkvist. If you want to hear some song by Kurt Olsson, then I'd suggest the one song he had that wasn't directly just a cover "Rapping Ingvar", or if you'd like to hear a cover, I'd suggest "Flickor bak i bilen".. If you want one with Siw Malmkvist, I think "Balladen om det stora slagsmålet på tegelbacken"... (or.. "Mamma är lik sin mamma", or "Slit och släng").. Tomas Von Brömssen haven't really done much music, but the one I Can remember is one I really love.. "Oj, vad min mamma skämdes"... Hmm.. Also he made a duett together with Lill Lindfors "Tycker du om mig", but that song is about two shy people who are attracted to each other, so they stumble very much (comes in late, and so on), and that is intentional to show the nervousness of the people involved.. BUT.. at the very least Brömssen got a chance to show how good he is at playing the carinett. And since I'm primarily giving random suggestions, I kind of think of Lill Lindfors as equally important in the elder generations "music book standards" as Siw Malmkvist, so I'd suggest "Musik skall byggas utav glädje"..
Mannen på piano är ”Kurt Olsson” lasse Brandeby , mannen på bas är skådespelaren Sven Wolter och trummisen är skådisen Tomas von Brömsen och gitarristen är Ulf Dagerby från Nationalteatern

Love your concept mate! I can relate, music was a big part in "learning Brazil" when I lived over there. It's a great gateway :) Some suggestions: Bo Hansson - De Svarta Ryttarna, if you do instrumental tracks. From his concept album Sagan om ringen/Lord of the Rings (released with both Swedish and English titling). Rolf Wikström for a bit of blues! His duet with Caroline af Ugglas, När vi kommit hem, is beautiful! Dag Vag, Dimma for a bit of upbeat old school Ska. Anders F Rönnblom, my favorite Swedish 70s progg artist. Hard to choose one, tremendous catalogue, but I'll recommend my first favorite, when I discovered him as a young teenager - Europa Brinner Wish I could hear all of them above for the first time again! All the best
I really like your channel, and appreciate the diversity among genres. Please consider doing a video with Freda' and their song "I en annan del av världen". Chers, keep it up!
Finally someone who does good reactions to music, with some info on every artist. Well done! I got some tips for reactions here: Little Gerhard - Den siste mohikanen Arne Quick - Rosen Kikki Danielsson - God morgon Black Jack - Sista dansen Black Jack - Inget stoppar oss nu Sven Ingvars - Jag ringer på fredag Lasse Berghagen - En kväll i juni Evert Taube - Fritiof och Carmencita Ulf Lundell - Öppna landskap Noice - Jag vill inte va som alla andra Jill Johnson - Gotta love me more (English, but really good) Björn Skifs - Krama dig That was a lot of tips for you. I hope you pick some up. They are all fun and good :) As a last tip, but it is finnsih: Eläkeläiset - Humppa. You find it here on RU-vid, not on Spotify. Fun song, maybe not the best singing :D
He was part of "Hola bandola band".. a progg band! In anyway all those in the video was part of the progg scen in Gothenburg! Soo mayby its a bit nostalgic?
Still nothing by one of the biggest bands we have had in Sweden? Kent. There are several songs there you could listen to. Mirage, La Belle Epoque, Kevlarsjäl, Då som nu för alltid, 999, Ingenting, Music non stop. They begun 1990 and had there last goodby tour 2016. One of their albums, Vapen & ammunition (2002) topped the Swedish charts for 95 weeks!
I reacted to "Dom andra" but it is blocked for now pending a copyright claim dispute. :/ That video should be available here soon, however it is on my Instagram.
I think they were trying to show that everything nice doesn't have to be serious :), anyway, I would like you to react to Björn Afzelius - Ikaros! That would be great!
When it comes to the emotional impact of the song, it comes from the small modulations in his voice and the way he stresses certain sounds, together with the musical buildup. The song is subtle but heartbreaking. This is not a diss, but I do believe you need to be a native speaker to get the full experience.
Yes you are good at pronouncing Swedish stuff. Better the other Americans I know that have lived in Sweden for some 10-20 years. So you really deserve that patt on the back 🙂
Some sugestions for some uptempo future reactions to svenska klassiker (that I must say is a splendid idea): Chronological Owe Thörnkvist: Icke sa Nicke (1957) Thore Skogman: Jämtgubben (1963) Stefan Rüden: Sofia dansar go-go (1972) Harpo: Baby boomerang (1974) Lasse Berghagen: Hålligång i skogen (1975) Svenne & Lotta: Bang a boomerang (1975) Boppers: Happy days (1978) Factory: Vi sticker (1978) Snowstorm: Sommarnatt (1980) Electric banana band: Electric banana band (1981) Trance dance: You're gonna get it (1987) Trance dance: Don't say go (1987) Svullo: För fet för ett fuck (1989) Army of lovers: Crucified (1991) Just D: Vart tog den söta lilla flickan vägen (1993) Drängarna: Vill du bli min fru (1995) Rednex: Hittin the hay (1995) Ordered by my preference Trance dance: You're gonna get it (1987) Svullo: För fet för ett fuck (1989) Just D: Vart tog den söta lilla flickan vägen (1993) Svenne & Lotta: Bang a boomerang (1975) Boppers: Happy days (1978) Electric banana band: Electric banana band (1981) Harpo: Baby boomerang (1974) Stefan Rüden: Sofia dansar go-go (1972) Rednex: Hittin the hay (1995) Trance dance: Don't say go (1987) Owe Thörnkvist: Icke sa Nicke (1957) Drängarna: Vill du bli min fru (1995) Snowstorm: Sommarnatt (1980) Lasse Berghagen: Hålligång i skogen (1975) Thore Skogman: Jämtgubben (1963) Army of lovers: Crucified (1991) Factory: Efter plugget (1978)
Under Ytan - Uno Svenningsson När Vindarna Viskar Mitt Namn - Pontus Gårdinge (The dude thinks he's native American, lived in a teepee and all) The band Kent made quite a few modern classics like; Kärleken Väntar Dem Andra Sundance Kid Revolt III I think you'll like their sound enough to listen all of them.
the band is made up of actors. Ulf Dageby from Nationalteatern (they were a theatre troup, but now mostly known for their music) as Sillstryparn on electric guitar. you also have Lasse Brandeby as his character Kurt Olsson on piano. as well as Thomas von Brömssen on drums and Sven Wollter on the stand bass, not syre if they played any characters in particular though. all 4 brilliant in their own right, and probably mates of Björn (or Affe as we fans affectionatly call him)
And the guy with the smirk in the bar is Claes Malmberg as the character Ronny Jönsson. Thomas von Brömssen looks like a character he would do in his solo shows, Sven Wollter I don't know, but the costume seems to deliberate not to be a character. Also, all of these actors are from Göteborg, and it seems the video was shot there.
Lovely song, but imo he's done better ones. Like Mitt Hjärtas Fågel and Ikaros, among others. With him it's not about the voice. And I'm sorry but if you have no problem with Håkan Hellström's voice, who is known for not being able to sing for shit, you should be OK with this lol I agree with you about the video, though. I hadn't seen it before and I don't know why they made some parts funny.
This is basically a straightforward translation of the danish original. Not any amount of artistic license there. The danish original is much better, and Anne Linnet was muuuch better at this, while Björn Afzelius was good at some other things.
I have never seen the music video of this song. I thought music videos were there to enhance the song but this fooling around by swedish comedians is so in mismatch with the actual song
Butchering Danish classics. Sorry to say if Swedes liked this but always stung a bit when this came on because it was such a bad cover. And Swedes don’t really know the Danish version.
