Björn is a national treasure. He sing and act amazingly and has a lovley personality. ”Härligt härligt men farligt farligt” is another classic song with him.
Björn was the first swede ever to reach number one on the US Billboard hitlist. In 1974 he topped the list with a cover on "Hooked on a feeling" under the name "Blue Swede"
Kolla in den någon fredagkväll med frugan, given succé.
Yeah Björn was the main character in some classic/cult films like Strul, Joker and Drömkåken. I have already suggested couple a times before the main theme from Strul, performed by Tommy Nilsson - Maybe We're About to Fall in Love.
he has such a beautiful and powerful voice! He is also my daughter’s neighbor 😉. another beautiful song by him together with Agnes was performed at princess Victoria’s wedding, it was written especially for the occasion. And I can’t for the life of me remember the title now! Oh, got it: When You Tell the World You’re Mine: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-H3BYy2TEPRQ.html I suggest you do this song too!
Nu är det dags att höja tempot lite :) E-Type this is the way The Hives Tick tick boom eller hate to say i told you so eller kanske Ceasars Palace jerk it out?
If you want another swedish slow gospel banger: Freddie Wadling & Helen Sjöholm (dream team!) singing Ted Gärdestads "I den stora sorgens famn". Pure magic.
This song has roots in the Swedish folk music tradition. The sad tone, the melancholic melody. This is the mother of all Swedish music, you find it in almost every song but seldom this clearly
@@ewonnestrand7298 Peter Hallström i Vaxholm 2011.
Wikipedia”
You should have seen Björn perform this live at Bingolotto (?), not sure if it was that show, but Lasse Kronér was the host. Live! And equally breathtaking. Lasse Kronér was literally stunned and very moved, just stood there with his mouth open and afterwards just rushed forward to Björn and hugged him.
Björn grew up with his dad Anders Skifs doing "revy" performances in Vansbro, Dalarna. My grandparents did local revy in the little village Särna in Dalarna. There's photos of Anders participating in their revys and they talked about meeting Björn when he was a kid. Always makes me a litte proud.
You should do an Edvard Persson song, since you like the Skåne dialect! :) He's a Skåne "national" treasure from the 1940s. Songs you could do are "En liten vit kanin", "Kalle på Spången" or "Vi klarar oss nog ändå"
A thorough entertainer, Björn Skifs. He's an actor, singer, comedian and general performer and is very loved. Another classic, perhaps not the song but the moment, is his duet with Agnes Carlsson, a song called When you tell the world you're mine, from the wedding of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel. A funny sketch by him is Mopeden, a live performance together with Anders Eriksson from Galenskaparna
Yes, "Same Ol' Story" was the original version, which then also became this Swedish version. However, both were written by the great Swedish musician Peter Hallström. Peter's own performance of this song is actually, in my opinion, far better than Björn Skifs' cover of it.
There are some religous swedish people😊 (We even have a bible-belt, in Småland). I think most people look at this as a lovesong though. And it can be looked at as either/both I think❤
Just had to put in a tip for "Bilen" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dxO2I01XpoI.html as well as his version of No perticular place to go ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WG3bskOp6qc.html
Björn Skifs is prob most famous to you (and other Americans) for his performance of “Hooked on a feeling” (he called himself “Blue Swede” back then) that topped the Billboard list in 1974. (And also been played a lot in pop culture since - and got a big revival again in 2014 as part of the OST to “Guardians of the Galaxy”). You should ofc do a reaction to ”Hooked on a feeling” if you somehow haven’t heard it before - because it is Björns most famous most classic hit song!
Have you done "Det Blir Alltid Värre Framåt Natten"? It seems familiar that you have done it but I just can't place it. If you haven't, then you should definitely do that one, has interesting lyrics as well about a topic we can all recognise. It's the one when he stumbled over the words in Eurovision, but no one noticed (and I kind of remember you not noticing either, so I guess you have heard it, but maybe only parts of it).
Here you have a song Björn recorded with his first band 'Slam Creepers' 1966. A single recorded by Sveriges Radio (the Swedish public Radio) after Slam Creepers had won the competition 'Swedem's Best Pop Band' 'Go On Home Baby' (a cover of the North Irish band 'Them', in which Van Morrison started his career) and 'Nobody' (cover of 'The Hollies') ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MRh25Cp0DY4.htmlsi=BqCHTOUAZMHvXTN7 Slam Creepers recorded a four track vinyl with the songs above, and 'Gotta Take The First Plane Home' (The Kinks cover) and last but not least; 'Good To Me' written by Björn Skifs. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0Lj6N9lXySk.htmlsi=c8HytNnZtEn45887 I would have preferred another arrangement. 🤷
I’m guessing that the chart you are referring to is Svensktoppen, which was not based on what has sold the most. Instead they had a voting system, if I’m not mistaken.
Oh by the way, Björn was not the first one on this song, it was first recorded in English and then called “Same ol’ story” by a black dude 2001, Andre de Long. Here is a version: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Shl8mXqFkLU.html Musikvideon: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-78o2n4t8V1Q.html

Finns också en version på engelska "Same old story" same writer to two different artists.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-78o2n4t8V1Q.html

A trumpet blowing the listener to eternity in your thoughts…..🥲🎺 Have heard it live as the final song on a warm summerevening in Helsingborg. The whole crowd stood still in silence and awe of that moment!🤩 BKO forever!
This song, "Håll Mitt Hjärta" was written and composed by the Swedish musician Peter Hallström. For some sad reason, that's seldom mentioned. Peter's own performance of this song is also actually better than Björn Skifs' version of it.
