På tal om Jan Johansen så kan man ju tipsa om Jan JOHANSSON och framförallt då "visa från utanmyra", en "swedish jazz classic". Kanske inte en banger men väldigt.. klassisk.
If we talk about a real melodifestivalen robbery we need to talk about how Anna Bergendahl won with This IS My Life when the clearly superior song Keep on Walking with Salem al Fakir also should have won. One of the best songs to come out of melodifestivalen.
Even bigger robbery: Martin Stenmarck "Las Vegas" won the juryvotes and people's favourite Nanne Grönwall "Håll om mej" lost. They changed the voting procedure a bit after that.
In 1995, there was still this rule in place in Eurovision that you had to sing in a language native or official to your country This meant that only the UK, Ireland and Malta got to sing in English. That rule was lifted a couple of years later, so now most entries in the ESC are in English.

Väldigt fin sång ❤ En tanke från gårdagen och The Ark, ska du lyssna på dem (de är grymma!!!) så måste du även lyssna på låten "Worrying kind", den absolut bästa de gjort!!! Den har allt och är annorlunda från mycket annat som är "main stream". Kan inte finnas någon i Sverige som inte gått och nynnat på den! En otroligt sjukt härlig text som gör att man blir glad trots att man kanske är en "Worrying kind". Den vann melodifestivalen!
If you are going to listen to Neneh Cherry and her halfbrother Eagle Eye Cherry, you should really listen to Nenehs halfsister Titiyo! Titiyo is caled the "Aretha Franklin" of Sweden. I think her best songs are "Talking to the Man in the Moon" and "Flowers".
In 1995 it wasn´t the artist´s choice, though. Eurovision Song contest has had a language rule from time to time. 1956-1965 There were no language rule, but all countries sang in their language anyway. Except one country, Sweden, sang in English in 1965. Then they imposed the language rule. 1966-1972 There were a language rule, all songs were in Swedish during this period. 1973-1976 You were free to choose which language you sing. Like ABBA sang Waterloo in English in 1974. 1977-1998 Again, you had to sing in the official language of your country, so all the Swedish entries were in Swedish (but as you said there were often two versions, one in Swedish and one in English) 1999-now You´re free to choose which language you sing in.
Eurovision had a rule where you were required to sing in your own national language (briefly lifted in the 1970s for a few years but by 1978 it was back in effect) and the rule remained until 1998. Since 1999 Sweden has only sung in English, but a few songs such as Take Me To Your Heaven and Invincible competed with Swedish versions in Melodifestivalen, switching to English for Eurovision. That's really interesting that you mentioned that the song could be interpreted as a parent singing to his hild, because I've never seen it that way. I don't know why I never did - maybe because I'm not a parent myself - because it totally makes sense. And, in my opinion, it makes the song even better.

Alla svenska vinnare gavs därför även en engelsk text. Det är därför som "Se på mig" även finns inspelad av Jan som "Another night."

I DO love your positive attitude..even when you hear a song you don't think you'd have any interest in listening to again, you DO seem to appreciate to add the experience of having heard it and make that judgement on your own.. but.. if I were to point out where I think you are a bit repetitative.. It's the.. "He just dived right in, I wasn't ready for that".. really?.. I don't think I know of ANY song where they didn't dive righgt in when they afctually finally ended up trying to start the lyrics/content of the song.. .. and in this specific song.. you listened to a FAIRLY long musical intro BEFORE someone started singing.. and for some reason ou claimed to be surprised that when someone started to sing the song you weren't prepared that they'd starty by actually.. singing the song.. making a statement.. so.. please.. explain to me what wishy-washy American songs you are thinking of.. when they start with any sort of ... musical.. or rhythmical.... . "mood creator".. and when the actual artist starts to sing.. They are NOT going in to what they intended the song to be about.. But instead starts with something non-relevant and low key.. "Jive talking".. and even worse.. what follows is the BeeGees discussing what talking Jive is about... Also.. "play that funky music white boy".. seem to start with a dialogue.. where some people are trying to convince a white boy to play funky music.. Aaand.. so on.. and.. you.. CLAIM.. to be surprised that a song on a specific topic.. actually is focused on that very topic.. the very moment it starts... ,,,, So exactly would you expect instead?.. a Song about makeup that starts by trying to discuss the history of male vs female interpretations of the value of being appreciated, and a feminist coda focusing on why women shouldn't HAVE to be pretty to be appreciated if they actually present a good reasoning?.. don't get me wrong; IF my last paragraph would get implemented, I'd appreciate it.. but.. would you be SURPRISED if a song where the title talking about letting women have their right to be judged on their competence rather than on other people's prejuidices or desires to get a woman they can get turned on of.... yeah.. just.. no.. .-.... It should NOT be a surprise that a song that has a specific title.. starts focusing on that title when it starts.. it's "the title" for a reason.. and.. actually DISCUSSING the topic.. just.. quite often.. might BE the reason...

Om det är något dansband du borde lyssna på först och främst är det Sven Ingvars. det är utan tvekan det största och även det första dansbandet i Sverige. jag kan till och med jämföra tidiga Sven Ingvars med Tidiga the Beatles. Jag har 4 låtar du kan börja med min favorit är Dans bort i vägen. även prästkrage i min hand, min gittar eller två mörka ögon. Its the begining of swidish dansband no doubt.
