Per Gessle is one half of Roxette (with 4 Billboard no 1 hits). Per is the singer of Gyllene tider (you have previously reacted to Sommartider, Flickorna på TV2, När vi två blir en) and he also has a very successful solo career (from which this song is taken). Per Gessle has also "a carrer"/ released albums under the names: Son of a Plumber, Monomind and he did.a record with 4 other musicians under the name The Lonely Boys. He has also written 2 songs for Berlinda Carlise (that you might have heard back in the US, without knowing he wrote them) among his other projects. Per is also known for having one of the larger privately owned Ferrari collections in Sweden).
Great choice this is a true classic 👍 Fun fact: Per Gessle wanted to ditch the song from the album becouse he didn't see its hitpotential but the record label made him change his mind. You have been missing out on one of Gyllene Tiders biggest classics "Gå och fiska!" it's a must!🐟
Per Gessle har en förmåga att skriva låtar som man nynnar med i redan första gången man hör den och det är nog därför han haft så många listettor runt hela världen
You could have a Per Night Hang, and mix in some songs of Roxette, Gyllene Tider and his solo career, talk about being a talent :), another great song from Per Gessle is "Tycker Om När Du Tar På Mig", I really recommend it!
De största är "It Must Have Been Love", "Listen To Your Heart" och "The Look".
@@davidbergstrom5911 Yes he did. Marie is also a great song writer (I love “Mot okända hav” and ”Efter stormen”) - but somehow she let Per do all of the songwriting for Roxette..
This song sure is very direct and now I will hear it in my head for the rest of the day! 😆 Of course you've heard Per Gessle sing before, he was the singer of Gyllene tider and also the male half of Roxette.
The first performance of “Det snurrar i min skalle” were at the artist’a sisters wedding. Johan, a non-established artist at the time, just wrote a song to his sister, somebody brought a camera to the wedding and the rest is history!
This isn’t really your first time reacting to Per Gessle since he is the brain behind (text and music) and lead singer in “Gyllene Tider” that you have reacted to earlier 😊🙃 (”Sommartider”, ”När vi två blir en” and ”Flickorna på TV2”). Per is also (as you might know) the other half of international famous pop-rock duo Roxette together with Marie Fredriksson. And perhaps is time for a Roxette reaction? I suggest the older classic songs with Roxette: Neverending Love, Dangerous, Dressed for success, The Look. They are all super classics! And I also want to remind you of probably the most Swedish classic song there is: Carola - Främling from 1983 written by Lasse Holm 🥰
Hello @Jonathan Rollins! I’m sure you have heard Per Gessle before! 😀 He is a great composer first of all! You know Roxette, and Gyllene Tider! He is behind those groups as well. And makes both music and lyrics! 🎶🎵👍🙋♀️
I agree, Gessle does not have one of the best voices, but it works. "Besides" that, he is up somewhere close to The Beatles when it comes to song writing. He is one of the folks that could (and have) written songs that makes enough money to buy the area of Suffolk, without even caring. :) He truly is a pop wonder. As already mentioned, you have reacted to songs from him many times already.
When you hear Per Gessle, you'll think about the summer. 😃 I think Kikki Danielsson deserves a reaktion. After all, she's a well known swedish singer. Maybe "God Morgon" with her group "Chips"?
React to sibling harmonies. First Aid Kit - Emmylou. Chosen as 10th best song 2012 by Rolling Stone Magazine. “I’ll be your Emmylou and I’ll be your June/If you’ll be my Gram and my Johnny, too,” sing two Swedish sisters, name-checking country-music partnerships - Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris, June Carter and Johnny Cash - in stunning harmony. Sometimes we Americans need outsiders to remind us of our awesome heritage. (Rolling Stone Magazine)
Per always have a knack of writing very catch power pop songs, be it his old group or Roxette or solo. Heck most Swedes have a knack for catchy tunes, like ABBA, Kent, Max Martin and many more .....If I ever have a chance to go to Sweden for a visit, I would :)
Of course you heard of Per Gessle, the man behind Gyllene Tider och Roxette. I haven’t seen any of Roxette - is it because they were big in The USA? You got the Look - please react to that. Jag går och fiskar - Per Gessle solo Juni Juli Augusti - Gyllene tider Mina tre önskemål
I would suggest the Skåne-group ”Philemon Arthur & The Dung” with ”Du är min enda vän”. They were awarded with a Grammis-award for their first album in 1972, and the protests that followed made the Grammis-award to be shut down for 15 years.
