Vila i frid
he was an extreme comedian doing crasy stuff in public before social media,,, Everybody loved him for braking the daily manners, he got an depression and anxiety and ended his life..
He reminded me of Robin Williams. So funny you wondered if he was on the verge of losing it. Like he tried to fill his own emptyness by making others laugh. I wrote that on another video about Williams. Talking about him while thinking about Micke Dubois. How he was funny to survive. Two weeks later they said he was dead.
My idol when I was a kid, but I preferred öl låten as his his best song. As a comedian you should watch svullo grisar vidare, svullo was really before his time and that show how brilliant he was!
Best Swedish pronunciation I heard from an American. Kudos! As for the song, it is a classic for many growing up in the 80s. Funny and self reprimanding. Unfortunately Mikael Dubois ended his life by hanging himself in 2005. A tragic end for a brilliant comedian!
Not sure all of this is true, but I met a guy when working in Sthlm (1990:ish), and this guy used to hang out with Electric boys back then. Turns out the Electric boys went to the States. In a bar, Conny gets into a conversation with a guy. He mentions that they have released some songs. The guy said "Yeah, we have done that too". It turned out he had talked to Ritchie Blackmoore, but not recognized him. :)
Bruh what are the fkn odds this song comes to mind 15yrs since i heard it, i RU-vid it, and you uploaded this reaction SIX HOURS AGO. I SWEAR GOOGLE RUNS MY GD LIFE LMAO
Vila i frid.
Helvete vad mycket folk! Weltklasse! Två tummar upp för reactionens!
This is from back in the day when MTV ran music on the channel, and they acctually ran the video for this song, once. Then I guess the danish VJ fell over laughing and told them what they sang about. After that it was only shown after midnight, iirc. Electric Boys were pretty good and had some success with their music and, as we can see here, they liked having fun and did not take themselves too serious.
Sweden's only Comedian if you ask me. The counter culture, the profanity, the give no shit attitude, but he was also a kind soul, so yeah it's a shame his depression got him down, and nowadays the kids don't know who he is, and they would think that he is too vulgar, they'd call him by every known epitaph they know, so in a sense it's good for him that he did die so he wouldn't have to see how bad society became after 2008. When lunacy and conformity joined hands in our land. And it only got worse and worse, and look at where we are now. So indeed may Micke Dubois rest in peace, and may we who remember his legacy tell others about it so that it may live on.
Haven't heard this song or seen the video since the 90's and couldn't stop laughing 🤣 It is of course ridiculous, but Svullo made a career out of being vulgar and provocative, so this song sort of goes in line with that.. PS. No idea who the black guy is. I guess they just wanted him in the video to make it cooler or something 😊

The black guy was not a part of Electric Boys. It was random actor/guy participating for "comic effect".
He started in the 80s as a standup comedian under the stagename Captain Freak. He was hilarious funny. there are some oldf stuff of that out here on RU-vid that you should check out.
Thanks! I'm actually 0% Swedish. Been here for eight years now. I just happened to have a great teacher (my wife's grandmother) that made sure I pronounce things properly.
Hello. I worked with Svullo and avsked he's tourleader , he answered ; Han var en lirare som bara gick förbi. enligt Micke ingen dom bokat in.. snubbe på stan...
The song wouldn't be what it became and is without that Micke Dubois aka Svullo already was a very popular figure at tv and in live shows at the small theatres. If you don't have that perspective it's only a silly song. For a song accompaning a low budget comedian it's pretty decent.
The funny thing about this video is that it's almost entirely improv. Typical Svullo. I don't think the man went by a single line of script his entire career.
