I got my AS3 after Hurricane Michael caved my bedroom in and ruined my previous bed in 2018. Going into 2023 now and it has held up really well, no regret at all in going with Amerisleep. Anyone that stumbles on this comment and is considering this mattress, it's a really good pick.
I never considered memory foam because I thought it was too soft. I like that there are different firmness options. I am a side sleeper, but I have back issues, maybe as1 or as2 for me.
This was such an informative review and so so helpful in the mattress buying process. I am a side sleeper and have been having such bad shoulder and hip pains for the past few years. I'm ready to invest in a high-quality mattress to help alleviate some of that pain and help my pressure points. Thanks for the great video!
I like the different options for comfort, with thicker foam as it goes. Nice to provide similar stable base with just different tops. It takes away some of the apprehension about which would be a better option, it’s just picking your softness.
Excellent.....thank you for your thorough review! I have been going nuts trying to find the mattress that's best for me. I found out that I have allergy to gel from experience with gel pillows. These have NO gel.....yea. The only question I have left is which is better, hybrid or just the foam options for me? 🤔 Thanks again. 🙂
I was always a fan of the Amerisleep beds, especially the AS4. I like that they have that memory foam feel that i love . I also think its great that they have 5 different beds to choose from, to accommodate for every kind of sleeper👍
In 2012 my wife and I bought an Amerisleep Revel within six months it started to sag pretty bad. I called Amerisleep and they sent a replacement at no cost noting that the lot mine was made it could have the issues I described. It's now mid 2023 and even though our mattress is well within the "less than one inch" deflection it's starting to give me some back issues. We thought about another brand via Amazon but decided to call Amerisleep. The short story is we ordered an AS2 and since I was a returning customer I received a pretty good discount. These folks have been wonderful to work with and the sleep adviser we spoke with was a gem. I wouldn't hesitate recommending them to anyone interested in a memory foam bed. Oh, and it's Made in America which is an additional plus.
I would have to choose As5 because it is the softest, but still medium. I am a combo sleeper, mainly back but need a med/ soft firmness. Chiro recommended hybrid, AND I HAVE to have a cooler mattress! We went with Brooklyn Bedding Sedona for now. Still in trial time.
Since I am not a fan of memory foam (and I like hybrids) I don't think Amerisleep is for me. BUT I love that they give their customers 5 options for firmness.
The Amerisleep looks like a good mattress, similar construction to others that have been reviewed, but the price point may not be as competitive as similarly built ones. I still prefer a hybrid as I am a bigger guy in height and weight , close to the same as Martin.
I doubt I'd be going for an amerisleep mattress for a couple reasons but mostly because I do NOT like all foam beds and definitely do not like slow moving foam (makes me feel stuck and wake up sore) .I do like that there are several firmness options however. I'd consider the casper I like that it has zoned support and is cheaper.
I like that Amerisleep offers so many choices, but given that they are primarily memory foam based, they are likely not for me. Hybrid option would be better for me. Thanks.
I would probably pick the AS5 with the coils for me. I am heavier and a side sleeper so that would probably fit me the best but of course the most for it.
In review of the level of support provided, I'd likely go with a hybrid version perhaps the AS3 or AS2 as a combination back and side sleeper. The concerns of heat retention on the all foam models but also the deep sinkage on softer memory foam gives me some doubt when seeing deep pocket mattresses but also depth of sinkage after the mattress breaks in. I ultimately need a hybrid for my body build and weight and soft topper materials for arthritic joints and back. This might be an option for future wish lists thanks for the comparison
I have always like the Amersleep line. JUST to pricy for me. WELL atleast the one I want is..lol Maybe I should learn to sleep on my back. IT seems like their are cheaper beds out their if you are NOT A SIDE SLEEPER..lol
Giveaway: I think I'd like the AS4 for more pressure relief--side sleeper here. The hybrid may be even better for cooling and better support. Casper is too firm. Thx for the great review Marten
I like the various firmness options, motion isolation, and 20yr warranty. As a lighter combo side/back sleeper I think I'd go w/ the AS3, lol @ Godilocks. It's nice know the Casper is a more affordable option in comparison to the AS2.
These mattresses are way too expensive, over a grand for the AS1. I would rather spend that type of money on a Purple because they are very breathable and durable.
If you bought from this company return your mattress now!!!! They will only last about 3 to 4 years!!! Even though they claim a twenty year warranty. Then when you file a claim they will find any excuse to deny it. Or just deny it with no cause.
I love memory foam. It seems to be the best option for me all around. Its nice amerisleep has so many models to choose from. Its definitely something to look at.
