The Amersfoorts Youth Orchestra, led by Rolf Buijs, plays the classic rock song Carry On My Wayward Son written and made famous by Kansas. Peter Breij was able to translate the music, traditionally played by four band members, to an entire orchestra of 60 men. And this all in the span of 3 days!
Why do this? Well, for GISHWHES of course! GISHWHES (Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen) is, like the name predicts, an international scavenger hunt were participants go around completing tasks to score points. The ultimate goal is to set a Guinness World Record with the largest scavenger hunt in the world, just like we did last year. One of the items was to let an orchestra play Carry On My Wayward Son and the Amersfoorts Youth Orchestra was up for the challenge!
In name of Team Sanguine (the instigators), I would like to thank Rolf Buijs, Peter Breij and the Amersfoort Youth Orchestra and all it's stakeholders. They did an amazing job in an extreme short amount of time. Thank you all so much you couldn't have been more wonderful!
