Im 25 and sadly report that I have never has a credit card it always scared me that it would ruin my life. I'm the first in my family to go to college and be able to financially literate and with no one in my family to turn to, your channel has really helped me figure out the credit card game so thank you for all that you do and I hope your channel grows! (:
I completely understand the hesitation with credit cards, especially if you don't have a background in financial education. Unfortunately, that's the truth for most of us! I wish they did a much better job of teaching this in school, but that is a big reason I wanted to start my channel in the first place. The beauty of credit cards is that once you begin to understand their power if used responsibly, they can help get you toward your financial dreams! I really appreciate the kind words and I'm glad my videos have been helpful. Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions. I love to chat about this stuff, so it's never a burden!
I really appreciate it! I’ve been on vacation with my family in NY and haven’t had to use it yet (perks of traveling with family haha) but I’m excited to get all the value I can from it in the future!
Thank you. I've been thinking of getting the AMEX Gold for a long time since they always send me letters. But if I can get an offer like yours I'll definitely sign up.
Of course! Thanks for watching and commenting! If I were you, I’d make sure to check Resy for the best public offers out there unless you hear of someone with an awesome referral link. They usually have some great ones!
No problem! Unfortunately the offer I applied for is no longer active, but I’ve heard they have a 100k point offer out right now, so I would ask in the #referrals channel in the discord for that!
Thanks for sharing. I just got approved for the Platinum today with a 100K MR if I spend $6K in 6 months. But after watching your video, I’m definitely applying for the Gold for it’s perks.
No problem at all! This is what I love to do! Congratulations on your platinum card approval. I’m hoping to get that one at some point down the line when I can benefit more from the credits. I’m glad to hear my video was helpful to you, and as for the gold card, I’ve absolutely loved having it in my wallet ever since it came in. Good luck with your application!!
Took a shot in the dark and after 4 attempts. I finally was approved for the gold card. The MR point multipliers will help for when I take my trip to NC on my platinum card.
That’s awesome Jeffrey!! Congrats man! You’re gonna love this card for sure. The amount of points you’ll earn is pretty insane, and it’s also a fun card to pull out with how it looks and feels. I’m excited for you to get your hands on it!
@@SpencerJohnsonOfficial thanks to you I decided to apply for it rather than product change. I have almost a complete plan on how I’m gonna hit the SUB. Just need to think up a plan to spend $589 since I have $3411 planned.
That’s awesome man! You’re gonna love to have that sub in your back pocket for sure. And it’s great to have a plan like that. It’s important to never overspend to hit a sub and you’re taking care of that upfront which is great!! You can always do stuff like prepay bills and such if you’re cutting it close on spend. Or buy some gifts for people early! Just make sure you’re buying stuff you’ll actually need to down the line. Congrats again on the approval!
Congrats on the Amex Gold, I also applied for the Gold today and snatched the new 100k MR points with incognito. I honestly thought I regret the decision not picking up the 90k MR points then BOOM the 100k offer appear out of nowhere.
That’s awesome to hear! I liked the offer I got because I get 20% on restaurants so I feel like over the course of the year I’ll make up for that 10k points I missed out on with the 100k offer. They’re both really awesome offers though so either way we can’t complain!!
I appreciate it! I’m looking to transfer them out to travel partners so hopefully I’ll be able to get at least $1,800 in value from it at a 2c/point valuation. I’ll have to make a video on it when I go to redeem!! Thanks for your support.
That’s awesome Christopher! Congratulations!! You’re gonna love the card man. It’s a really great earner, plus is looks really cool as well which is always fun.
Great video Spencer. Your channel rocks! The Amex Gold Card and Chase Sapphire Preferred are on my "financial goals" list for 2023. What's your thoughts on the gold card after owning it for 6 months? I Right now, Amex is offering 190,000 bonus points for the gold card. I applied last night and was approved, but I didn't accept the offer yet. The only reason I didn't accept is because I really want that Chase Sapphire Preferred, and I'm on "5/24" probation until November of this year. So I'm on the fence on if I should hold out until November and get the Sapphire Preferred, or if I should accept the current gold card offer because of how many bonus points they are currently offering. In your opinion, does either one of these cards hold a "perks advantage" over the other?
Thank you Jason, that means a lot! Honestly, I should make a video about my review of the Amex Gold after 6 months. For a short summary though, I think it's a no-brainer card if you're gonna use the credits. It has given me a ton of value for all my food purchases and while it doesn't always get accepted overseas, in the US, it's super solid. Also did you mean to say you're being offered 90k points instead of 190k? I've never heard of an offer like that before, but 90k is more what I'm used to haha. As for which one I would get first between the Gold and CSP, it depends on what other cards you have. If you have a ton of Chase points stocked up that you want to transfer out to travel partners, it makes a lot of sense to wait out the 5/24 rule until November where you could hopefully snag an elevated offer. But if you don't have any other Chase cards and will still be under 5/24 fairly soon after November even after adding the Gold card, then I'd probably add the Gold now. Like I said, it depends on your current setup and the goals you have with your cards over the next year or so. Hopefully that kind of helps though!
@Spencer Johnson I messed up, I meant 90,000 MR points. I got them mixed up with the 150,000 MR points they are offering for the platinum card. I currently don't have any Chase cards in my wallet, and if I end up taking the plunge on the Gold Card, then I'll on the "5/24" until April 2024.
@@jasonmccann257 I gotcha, that makes a lot more sense haha. I guess my one thing I'd tell you to consider is if you're okay with not getting Chase cards until 2024. If the answer to that is no, I would add a Chase card right now and then get the Gold card. That's up to you though!
@Spencer Johnson I ended up accepting the Gold Card offer, w/ 90,000 MR points. I'm glad I did b/c they are now offering 75,000 MR points for new members. I can hold out for a few months for the Chase Sapphire. Any new user advice you can pass along for the Gold Card, or do you have a video on it?
@@jasonmccann257 That's awesome to hear! Congrats on locking in such a good offer. I would definitely advise to get your card setup with the two credits the card offers. You do have to activate both of them to a degree, so make sure you do that when the card comes in. Other than that, just use the card for all your food purchases and you're pretty set! The other perks and benefits are of good use too, but if you do what I just mentioned, you got 90% of it covered I'd say.
Thank you Mark! The Gold card has become my most used card by far. I never knew what I was missing! Also, I’m happy to see you were served one of my videos!! You’ve been one of my biggest inspirations in starting my channel, so it’s awesome to see you in my comments.
Yessir! I’ve been meaning to ask you (which maybe I should do offline) if you live in Texas? I believe I’ve heard you mention you’re from Dallas but I could’ve made that up. We need to do a credit card community meetup at some point down the line. I think we’ve got a pretty solid YT community here in Texas.
AMEX gold is a great card! Im waiting till Amex brings back a better sign up bonus before i get mine but congrats Spencer! Supporting you as a fellow personal finance creator :)
It sure is! I have heard that there is a 100k point offer out there right now if you want to try and get that! I’m not sure if you can only get referred to that or if you can find it online, but I know that someone in The Credit Community Discord linked in the description has that offer in the #referrals channel! Thank you so much for your support and I wish you the best of luck.
Thank you for the great video! Loved how you showed us the application process it really makes the process a-lot easier! Currently I have a 758 credit score on credit karma, but my annual income is low until I start my overseas job in November. Gonna wait until I start that new job so I can have my updated annual income. Great video and thanks again!
Of course Jonathan! I’m glad you enjoyed! That’s a great credit score and I completely understand your hesitation to apply. As long as you already have the job locked down, there wouldn’t be an issue with you applying with your projected annual income. You just wouldn’t wanna do that if you were completely making the salary up, but if you already know what that’ll be then there’s no issue in applying now in my opinion! Just thought I’d throw that out there. Thanks so much for the support!
@@SpencerJohnsonOfficial that’s really good to know actually! Thank you for that. Now I’m wanting to apply right away 😅 I have 4 CC’s at the moment, but I would make this my #1 card right away with all those benefits. Thank you!!!
@@jonathangraham7148 Of course Jonathan! Good luck with your application! Make sure you use the best welcome offer you can find. This card has definitely been my most used card since I got it so I agree with you on that!
Thank you Jimmy! I appreciate that! It’s definitely my most used card since I got it a few months ago and I’ve loved using it. Having that nice gold metal design is always nice too!
personally I don’t travel right now (still in school) but the rewards sound awesome, I just don’t know if I should stack the points until I can redeem them for 1 cent per point via transfer partners. Right now the most I could get out of it is 0.7 cent per point which would render it 2.8% or below other 3% back cards, what do you think? Should I wait until the AmEx Charles Schwab is a good fit for me and transfer all of it into a brokerage account?
I completely understand! Personally I try to get at least 1cpp on all of my redemptions, so unless you’re tight for money right now and need the statement credit, I would keep stacking points until you travel more! There are a ton of great no annual fee cards that get you 3% back on dining like the Citi Custom Cash or Chase Freedom cards which I’ve made videos on. I have the same idea as you and will likely only use my Amex points to transfer to travel partners and try to get at least 2cpp for now, and eventually I will probably get the Charles Schwab Platinum card to invest some of my rewards at 1.1cpp down the line. I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any more questions!
No problem! I think points can definitely be used differently depending on the season of life you’re in, but looking at it from strictly a value perspective, transferring out generally gives the best point valuations. There’s nothing wrong with redeeming them for less though if that fits your current goals!! That’s something I’ve learned over time… it’s easy to get wrapped up in the credit card points game and feel bad about redeeming for less than max value, but you shouldn’t feel bad about that as long as you’re redeeming in a way that meets your goals.
I have a 762 credit score one inquiry new accounts this part year 2 should I wait for my monthly cycle pay my cards off first then apply? And do you think I’m likely to get approved I’m 20 with 7 years of credit history because of my parents lmk please and thank you means a lot if you could give your perspective on my situation
If you don’t mind me asking what was ur credit age looking like when you applied for this card? I am just curious do these banks worry so much on age being high, I mean considering that people like me and u getting in to the game/wanting new cards as we progress it will of course cause it to go down/low. I mean the rule of thumb for me is 3 to 6 months between applications or when ever my score regains the point it lost from the previous application & after bonus is completed as well.
My average age of accounts was at about 9 months when I applied for this card I believe and now it is at 7 months. I have never had an issue with my average age of accounts being so low, and have been auto approved for all the cards I’ve applied for! Luckily, the average age only accounts for 10% of your credit score, so as long as you have the main categories in check (payment history and credit utilization in particular) then your score will still be high enough to get approved for most every card out there. Just like you said, being new to the credit game and accumulating cards is going to keep that average age low, but as long as the lenders see that you’re using your cards responsibly, they’re going to want to lend you cards! I space my card applications out usually about 3 months, but for this card I applied within 2 months because I wanted that welcome bonus and it all worked out fine! The main thing to keep in mind is your 5/24 status. I’ll be gardening my 5/24 status for the next few months, so we’ll see how my score changes while my average age of accounts grows. In the end, I wouldn’t worry too much about your average age of accounts while you’re in the accumulating phase as your score should still be high enough to get approved for almost every card even without a high average age. Once we’ve been in the game longer, that number will be higher which will lead to our scores being even higher (800+), but until then, scores in the “very good” range (740-799) should do just fine!
@@SpencerJohnsonOfficial yes sir see all of what I was thinking and expecting to hear back from you!! Let’s keep it going and of course will keep up with ur content!! You look like Joe Keery. Also, I have had the Blue Cash Everyday card for about 11 months now and and want to upgrade to this. My fico is 760 according to AMEX. Do you think I'm eligible?
That's an interesting one! I believe you're one of a few people that have said that to me before so I guess it's gotta be somewhat true at least! Based on what you've told me here, I wouldn't see a reason why you'd get denied for this card. Obviously I can't tell you that's 100% true, but I would imagine you got a good shot at it. Make sure you use a 90k point referral link or the Resy.com offer if you do apply though! You don't want to miss out on this welcome bonus by product changing to it. I hope that helps a bit!
So my current credit age is about 8 months and my score is 749 my annual income is about 48000 with 18000 being non taxable do you think I would have a good chance of getting approved for this card?
Great question! I can’t tell you for sure whether you’d be approved or not, but it sounds like you’d be able to. Having excellent credit is always a good thing so that’ll help your odds. I’ve heard there is a way to check if you’re pre-approved on Amex’s website before you do the full application, so if you can do that, that’s what I would try!
To find the highest Amex welcome offers you generally want to use someone’s referral link. I made a video about how to find the best offers on Amex cards recently if you’re interested in watching that! You don’t wanna miss out on free value!
Nice! I have the same setup as well. I currently have the OG Chase Freedom, Chase Freedom Unlimited, Chase Sapphire Preferred, Citi Custom Cash, and the Amex Gold card. For me, I mainly use the Unlimited as my catch-all card for the “everything else” category of spending, the OG Freedom for rotating categories, Chase Sapphire preferred strictly for being able to transfer to travel partners and for its no foreign transaction fees as a Visa card, the Citi Custom Cash for gas, and the Amex gold for all food purchases and flight purchases. You can definitely use them in a powerful combination! You would just need to make sure that you can take advantage of the Amex gold credits because if not, then it won’t be worth the annual fee. I use my credits every month meaning that the Amex gold only has a $10 effective annual fee and I profit by using it for my food categories. If you do get the Amex gold and presumably use it overseas because of its no foreign transaction fees, make sure you bring the preferred with you as well because some places don’t take Amex! That’s another good way to use those cards in a combo. I hope that helps!
@@SpencerJohnsonOfficial thank you so much for your thorough feedback and advice. That’s awesome. I went for it, I applied and got approve. Can’t wait to receive my card.
That’s so awesome Ryan! Congratulations!! Trust me, you’re gonna love it. And as you can see from my most recent video, it comes in 1 day which is awesome!!
Just subscribe to the channel big shouts from chicago Illinois I’m definitely on my credit journey my first Amex card was so he delta gold working my way up the Amex ladder
Thank you Jeffrey I really appreciate that! Amex cards can be super valuable, especially for the credits that come with them. Just make sure you can always get positive value from a card every single year so you never have to actually pay to hold a credit card! Do you have any other cards besides the Delta Gold yet?
That’s great! I’ve always been interested in US Bank cards, but I had never even heard of them until I got interested in the credit card game. They just aren’t as well known in Texas I guess! I’m happy you’re getting started on your journey. As I hope you’re able to tell from my videos, you can really reap some great benefits if you use your cards responsibly and profitably!
The exact offer I applied for isn’t around anymore unfortunately but I have heard of people getting 90k points without the 20% back on restaurants still. I’m not sure if that only comes from referrals or if you can find a targeted offer incognito, but I would imagine those are the only two ways to find it these days unfortunately. The resy offer of 75k plus 20% back at restaurants is still really good though!
Great video! I really want to apply for the Gold Card. I have a great credit score and I have no derogatory marks on my account but I’m a student with a limited income so I’m not sure they’ll approve me. I currently have the Discover Student Card and the. Bank Of America Cash rewards card but I’m looking for another card to apply for. Any suggestions as someone who also just graduated from college?
Thank you Mason! The gold card is really an excellent card and I’m excited to have it in my wallet. If you don’t believe you have the income for it just yet, there are a bunch of really great cards you can get in the meantime! However, I would look online to see if you can find any data points of people who have been approved for the Gold card because I know Amex really likes people to get their cards, so you may actually have a good chance of being approved. Just make sure you can afford the annual fee and such first though. But if you wanna hold off on the Gold card, my first recommendation would probably be to get started in Chase’s ecosystem with one of the Freedom cards. I personally have the freedom unlimited and have really enjoyed it, but if you like rotating categories then the flex might be for you. I’m actually posting a video Sunday comparing the two freedom cards, so keep an eye out for that! Another great card to look into is the Citi Custom Cash. It’s a really good card that earns 5% in your top spending category (up to $500 a month) and can be used very flexibly to give you 5% in a category if your choosing each month. It’s really nice to be able to guarantee yourself 5% in a category that your other cards don’t earn very strongly in. One thing I do want to mention is to keep in mind your 5/24 status with Chase. That’s a big reason why it’s so good to get started with Chase earlier rather than later because once you get 5 personal cards in 24 months, you’ll be automatically denied for another one of their cards until it’s been 2 years since you got the oldest card. If you don’t care about that though, you have a ton of options you can go with on the market, but the Chase Freedom Flex, Chase Freedom Unlimited, and Citi Custom Cash are some I would start researching if you want to hold off on the Gold card application and want a solid no annual fee card that you can keep in your wallet forever. I hope that helps!! Let me know if you have any more questions or if you want some different recommendations as well.
@@SpencerJohnsonOfficial Thanks for the amazing recommendations! I definitely think I’m going to look into chase especially given the 5/24 rule. Your reply back definitely earned you a sub and I really look forward to your future videos and seeing your channel grow!
@@masonyates5817 Thank you so much! This is what I love to do so always feel free to ask me questions. Let me know if I can help you out in any way as you look into Chase cards. I actually just posted a video about the difference between two of their beginner cards so you can check that out to see which one is right for you! I hope it helps!
i’ve been thinking about getting this card but was wondering if the $250 annual fee hits your account the second you get the card or if its $0 for the first year and then $250 for the following year???
The annual fee is not waived in the first year for the Gold card. You’ll have to pay it within the first billing cycle in my experience. But if you use the credits that come on it, you’re practically prepaying for the credits that come on the card, so you’re not losing the money as long as you utilize the credits if that makes sense.
That is correct. There is a tool on their website that allows you to check to see how high of a charge will go through on your card so that can give you an idea of a pseudo credit limit, but they do not have hard set limits since you have to pay it in full every month.
I believe that the offer I applied for is no longer available. If you watch my most recent video you can see that the best offer I found publicly was 75k + 20% back at restaurants, but I have heard of people getting a 100k offer without the 20% back at restaurants. I haven’t personally seen that offer anywhere but you could maybe try to go incognito and find that or see if anyone has that referral for the 100k if you want. I found my offer in Mark Plymale and Daniel Brauns discord “The Credit Community”, so you could always try that! Either way, if this is a card you really want then I would take advantage of any of the offers we talked about!
Yeah I hadn’t ever seen that quick of a shopping time before! Idk if it’s because it’s one of their charge cards or what, but I received it within 24 hours which is really nice.
Good to know! It looks like the charge cards (Gold and Platinum) are the overnighted cards I’ve heard of so far. I guess it makes them feel extra premium!
Great question mats. I’m not sure what I would consider a “high salary” for the Amex gold card, but Amex does not have any specific requirements for income. The main thing they look at outside of your credit report is going to be your debt to income ratio, so as long as you make more than you spend, you would have a decent shot at getting this card. I would say having the median salary in the US is plenty to get this card, but you always wanna keep in mind the annual fee that comes on it and make sure you can get value on the card beforehand. If it helps you, I applied with 70k as my income and was obviously approved for the card, and I think that’s plenty high! I hope that helps you out a bit!!
@@SpencerJohnsonOfficial Thank you so much! I really enjoy your videos and the detail you put into them. I will apply for the Amex Gold before the end of the year for sure. I recently got a $12,000 car loan so I am hesitant to apply at the moment but its definitely a card I want in my wallet.
No problem at all! This is what I love to do. Good luck with that application and let me know if you have questions when you get closer to applying. It could definitely be beneficial to let that credit score recover a bit before applying for the gold card. Mainly just because if they did any hard inquiries on your report that’ll ding your score temporarily. Theoretically your score should recover within 1-3 billing cycles if everything else remains the same. I’m excited for you though!
I would use either the Resy.com link or join the Discord in my description and ask in there! Those are where the 2 best offers will be found. Either a 75k point offer plus $250 in statement credits with Resy.com, or a 90k offer through referrals. Hopefully that helps!
I was approved for the card with an income of $70,000, so I would say your income is more than sufficient. As for your credit score, I have read online that it is good to have at least a 700 credit score, so theoretically you are above that. However, there are no hard set rules, so I can’t promise you will be approved. There is now a way to see if you’re prequalified for Amex cards, so if you want to try that out, I would search “Amex credit cards pre approval” online and see if you can find that! I hope that helps!
There are a few reasons for that. For starters, the Gold earns rewards in more categories that I spend in and has credits in those areas as well (food categories). With those credits, I am able to justify the annual fee on the Gold card and it comes out to be effectively $10 a year for me to have the card. The Amex Platinum is not a card that people use on a daily basis because it really only earns rewards in travel categories. Since it’s a travel card and I am not traveling too much just yet, I wouldn’t be taking advantage of many of the credits the card comes with, and it wouldn’t be earning points in the categories I spend the most in, so I could not justify a $695 annual fee. At the end of the day, the Gold card provides a ton of value for me in categories I spend in every single day while the Platinum does not. They are both great cards but serve very different purposes. Once I’m traveling more and want to get a luxury travel card, the Platinum will be one i consider, but until then, I am very happy to have the Gold card that will give me great value on daily spend. I hope that makes sense!
It's generally recommended that you have above a 700 credit score when applying for higher tier cards, but there's no hard set number. People get approved with a lower credit score than that, but there's no way to know for sure. Amex has introduced a preapproval tool and if you copy my link in the description into an incognito browser you may see that option come up. I recommend pasting that link as many times as you can until you get the 90k point offer and $200 statement credit and hopefully the preapproval tool will be available there as well.
Dang that’s unfortunate, however, that’s still a great offer! I felt the same way when I got the 60k bonus on the Sapphire Preferred and the 80k bonus came out soon after. Luckily we can still get a lot of use out of any welcome offer since they’re all pretty good!
@@SpencerJohnsonOfficial - I don't know about discords, fb, twitter, etc. I stay off all social media except a few youtube channels )if that counts as social media). I subscribe to even less...about 4, and one is medical.
That’s not a bad idea! I hadn’t used discord too much either but I’ve found it to be a great place to discuss credit cards with like minded individuals… like the comments section of these videos but with less trolls lol
I believe it pulled both Transunion and Equifax but you can confirm at the beginning of the video just to be sure. Those data points I showed were from after I applied but the numbers I was reciting were from before, so where the discrepancy is between what I’m saying and what I’m showing are the ones that were pulled.
I believe I show all of those data points at the beginning of the video if you’d like to see exact numbers, but my score was sitting roughly around 740 or so. And it looks like they pulled Experian and Transunion. Let me know if I can answer any more questions!
This specific offer is not still available, but there are 90k offers without the restaurant bonus still out there through referral links. The discord I linked in this video is where I’ve found the best offers!
Great question! Sometimes credit card lenders don’t pull from every one of the credit bureaus. However, I do have 5 inquiries on my Experian which means that all card lenders did pull that report, but only a couple of them chose to pull one of my Transunion or Equifax scores as well.
I have read online that it is good to have at least a 700 credit score to get approved for this card. However, there are no hard set rules, so I can’t promise you will be approved if you’re above that. There is now a way to see if you’re prequalified for Amex cards, so if you want to try that out, I would search “Amex credit cards pre approval” online and see if you can find that! That way you have a clear understanding on if you’ll be approved or not. Other than that, there is no true way to be 100% sure because there are a multitude of factors that go into a credit card application. I hope that helps though!
If it makes you feel any better, my average age of accounts was 9 months when I went to apply. Now it’s at 7 months and since I’m at 5/24, I’m gonna hold off on applying till January and hopefully my score will be even higher then!
The longer the credit history the better, so it’ll play a role for sure. Did you get a chance to try out that pre approval tool on Amex’s website? They won’t do a hard pull for that tool and it’ll let you know if you’d be approved or not before you even apply.
Hahaha that’s awesome. I would’ve told you that I honestly don’t know the exact odds of you being approved, but now we have a good data point for other people to know so thank you for sharing! And congrats on the approval Hunter!
All you gotta do is click the link in the description and create and account if you don’t have one already! It’s a great community so have fun in there!
I didn’t instantly get approved… help! Currently in the military with a low salary of around $30k but within a month I’m getting married and that number will jump to over $58k and I didn’t know you could project income, my credit score is 742 on Experian and Transunion and 727 Equifax. Have 4 total accounts, 2 of which are closed and 2 hard inquiries on record. Credit history is 1 year 7 months… do I even have a chance?…
Don’t worry! You can always call Amex’s reconsideration line and explain yourself there. They are more than accommodating from what I’ve hear. You can let them know exactly what you said about the income and I’m sure that’ll help your odds, but your data points are great overall! You shouldn’t have an issue of being approved. Plus since you’re active military, you can get your annual fee waived which is great! Thank you for your service sir. Let me know how the call with their reconsideration line goes!
@@wheelockmedia6240 Well at least you got a response and hopefully that info will be enough to get you approved! I would still consider calling their recon line though if you want to get in front of a real person. That could change the tides if anything. Thanks for the update!
@@SpencerJohnsonOfficial Oh my gosh, all I have to say is good things come to those who wait! After issues with the customer service for over a month, I’m now the proud owner of a Gold Card!!!🥳
@@SpencerJohnsonOfficial Absolutely...if I can...I will. Also...I see you drew a couple comments from other hosts. I watch some of them at times. RJ always gives very nice professional presentations...and Dan does too...jam packed with fast-moving style. I believe he's even a hometown Philly boy...me thinks...!!!
That’s awesome! I always enjoy seeing familiar faces around the comments section. I’ve definitely drawn a lot of inspiration from other RU-vidrs, Daniel Braun in particular… everyone has their own style but I do love the information that him and RJ are able to pack in their videos.
@@SpencerJohnsonOfficial - Yes indeed...lots of good info from the right people, but youtube is also loaded with the click bait late night hackers & credit repair hucksters as well. I see your channel is growing nicely. I wish you continued success. Earth out until the next video graces the airwaves...!!!
Congratulations! That’s awesome. That’ll be a card you likely keep with you forever unless the credits aren’t valuable to you one day. I’ve loved having it so far though and will probably keep it as a staple in my wallet indefinitely!
I currently have 5 of my own but if you’d like to see which ones I use and why, check out my “What’s in my wallet” video! The only thing that has changed since then is that I got the Amex Gold card.
Me looking at my significantly better cap1 savor card knowing I'll never be cool enough to allow myself to pay $250 for the prestige of carrying a card that relies on its reputation rather than being competitive
I respect that opinion! I’d say the $95 Savor card is much harder to get positive value from than the Gold card, but the Savor One card is really solid with no annual fee. The main difference between the two is the point valuation you assign to each ecosystem. It all depends on what you prefer.
I really did! I'm going thru a credit clean up period right now so soon and very soon I will be able to share my success story with you! Congrats again and keep those videos coming!
I just got this card and the offer was 60,000 points on safari so I went to duck duck go and the offer was 75,000 points. Just thought I’d leave this here
Congrats on the new card! Resy.com should still have a 75k offer + 20% back at restaurants for the first year (up to $250 back). Or you can maybe find higher referrals out there (90k or so). Amex cards always have so many offers on them, so it’s important you do your research!!
