In this episode on Amhattaya, we spoke with Ma Ei Phyu, an expert on insects with a passion for for cooking. She is the author of Myanmar’s first insect-focused recipe book, Everyday Insects, which features recipes on how to cook yummy dishes using edible insects.
She shares her insights on the nutritional value of insects and how people can incorporate edible insects into their daily meals. She also discusses the benefits of insect farming, especially Black Soldier Fly farming, and how farmers can integrate it into their current farming practices (such as fish and chicken) while creating a sustainable environment.
