It is a unique beauty, especially for a FPS. Oddly it didn't appeal to me when I first saw it, but after playing it I am blown away. The art, level design, and music are true wonders to behold.
Recently finished Dusk, your work on that game is exceptional. Had no idea you were doing Amid Evil too, but that's great news. Holding off playing until release, but more excited than ever.
Dusk is such an excellent game and I really enjoyed playing the single player. I've played some of Amid Evil so far and it's a tad different, but it still has that classic FPS feel. I really hope NB continues to make these great games.
The scenery is so beautiful, and the icing in the cake is this music track that resonates with the deepest, arcane immersion I've ever had. The best track in the game, I bow down to Andrew for this masterpiece.
Finally finished my first run on Evil difficulty a few days ago, now finished the Black Labyrinth...what a journey this entire game has been. There aren't enough fantasy FPS out there anymore, and AE really rekindled that sense of FPS adventures again. Also, of the music Andrew's done that I've played through (especially DUSK and Ancient Gods), Amid Evil's OST is easily my favorite of his. No question.
I played this relatively recently after getting into Dusk and Ultrakill, and it definitely holds up to its brothers, ESPECIALLY in musical aptitude. The Arcane Expanse had me vibing hard af even though I was getting my ass beat on hard mode
You did an amazing job on E6's soundtrack! Without it, with the usual music that plays on the other levels, it wouldn't have been as good. It REALLY makes it stand out because the music makes this episode feel melancholy somehow. It really is the best aspect of E6.
this is the masterpiece I keep coming back to, the song complements the excellent level design from the game I feel has the best architecture in any game I can think of, the no-strings-attached best song of the OST, unsurmountable
This is my favorite track in the game. I listen to it at least once a week now. It's so good I can completely submerge and vividly imagine myself in the Arcane Expanse if I close my eyes. Thank you, Andrew, for this incredible OST.
This might be my favorite track at the moment, but I noticed that the in-game version of the first part is cut 1 beat (half a second) too early and it also pops when looping. Not a big deal, though. Amid Evil's sountrack is still my favorite game soundtrack, along with this track.
this game brings out all the memories of the later Blood Omen 2 stages from the Legacy of Kain franchise and i honestly couldn't ask for anything better than this. ❤❤❤

this was one of the coolest and most interesting levels in the whole game and man this track is just GORGEOUS to go with it. i am intensely afraid of heights, falling, and warped perspective stuff - and i loved this area to death because of the music. so good.

The music undoubtedly gives a great touch of peace and at the same time deathly despair.
Oh my god, I played the demo of ep 6 when it released and ive been waiting for this song to appear on youtube since. I love this song so damn much I cant explain.
@@ramirezrem Final episode is being worked on, so assuming things go as smoothly as they've been going so far with no sudden problems, I expect the game might be out of Early Access in 3months, +/- a month (most likely 4 since we are talking release).
When I first played Amid Evil, I honestly thought the weapons were 3d models. I never knew how pretty a 2d sprite could be with a lightwrap applied to it. Truly one of the best games of 2019.
You never cease to impress mr Hulshult. This and Dusk's soundtracks are amazing pieces of work. I envy your talent! I wish I could compose such cool tracks. Cheers from Argentina!
