@@nomore6167 You're right. I totally agree. I'm just wondering if we aren't consistently giving them something to attack, and participating in keeping this going. Like we can say that one side of the argument has "The Truth" supporting them, but at the end of the day the only thing important to them is winning the argument, at what point do we admit that the argument itself is the problem? If everyone involved is focused on "proving the other side is wrong", the fact that one side happens to be right might be one of the reasons they feel justified, but we can't keep pretending it's the only reason we're all having this argument. In a democracy with a two party system, if everyone somehow believes that they only have one viable option, something is wrong.

There are plenty of people on both sides who want to feel aggrieved, want to fight, and simply want to win an argument. In the end, though, I don't think it really matters because the MAGA crowd will act this way no matter what. I just hope there are enough non-MAGA conservatives to help us save this democracy and get back to a point where we can debate policies and ideas rather than debate reality.

Regarding any "news" coming from Fox "News", I would like to remind folks of two things: (a) When NPR's Ari Shapiro spoke with former Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull about why he blames Rupert Murdoch, (Murdoch is Australian by birth), the former CEO of Fox News for the divide in the U.S., Prime Minister Turnbull said that Rupert Murdoch has done more to undermine American democracy than any other individual alive today. He said that Murdoch is responsible for Fox News, and that Fox News has played, by far, the largest single part in the polarization of American politics, and in the amplification of political hatred. P.M. Turnbull challenged anyone to nominate which individual alive today has done more to undermine American democracy than Rupert Murdoch. Former Prime Minister Turnbull also said that "...the biggest challenge to the United States is not Xi Jinping or Vladimir Putin. It's the animosity, the division, the anti-democratic movements within the United States itself." (b) Fox "News" is so truthful that they eagerly agreed to settle Dominion's lawsuit for $787,500,000 instead of going to trial!

Use of deadly force kills unsuspecting citizens. EG: FBI raid March 19, 2024, Bryan Malinowski, Little Rock, Airport Director. Killed @ 6:01 AM, in his home as he ran down the hall with a pistol, believing he and his wife were under a home invasion. The FBI cut his homes power, taped over his ring camera, and NOT ONE AGENT/ OFFICER WORE a BODY CAMERAS! They killed an avid gun collector who had no idea he was even under investigation. No idea he violated any law, nor had he. This could have been the scenario at Marlago.

I have lost faith in our government completely. I tried sending an email to my local congress people, only to get back generic responses that didn't answer any questions. My message was not aggressive, just a few normal questions, but they are ignoring the basis of my inquiry. I talk to folk all over the world. America is a laughing stock, we have lost all credibility.
