Here is something a little different.
This project tried to beat me every single step of the way. What you see here is honestly months of work.

I realise this video is comething completely different for me, but I hope you enjoy it nevertheless. In a few days I'll be doing a companion video were I talk about all the trials and tribulations we went through on this restoration. So if you have any questions, feel free to comment below!

And, presumably, all the swearing? (Why yes, I have a battery damaged A2000 as well, how could you tell?)

This cursed Amiga 2000 has seen some things for sure. He did a great job on restoring it. I only wish the A2000 wasn't such a heavy beast.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. It sure was a journey, made all worth it by this excellent short film. I've learned a lot about repairing these boards this year. I have three other boards (two rev 4s and one rev6) I am working on. They are as much fun as they are frustrating 😅

I really like it. Nicely done! It was a bit strange not having you say "good day internet" at the begining of the video, but I'll be ok LOL. My vote is to roll it out live.

I admire what you did, and I know how much work it took to put together, but I prefer videos with you front and centre, showing the trials and tribulations of what you're trying to achieve.

I curse those oval slots for mounting the floppy drives. You always have to fiddle with it to get the drive's faceplate to line up with the front of the case.

I restored a Amiga 2000 from a friend of mine he kept in the attic of his parents house. Mouse Connector was torn off and the battery did her evil deeds. Running fine now, but had to sacrifice the A2086 XT Board since it collided with my turbo card which brought its own fast RAM. Nice Video :)

A wonderful video. Uh-oh, I sound like an old man. I felt relaxed and just took it all in. I should have thought of this format ages ago - if I didn't have to write a script and record voiceovers, I'd have videos out every couple of weeks. Really enjoyed this. Well done!!!

I liked it :) Good job. You do need some Turrican-II in your life though. Music is pleasant also. Have you ever considered branching out into old workstation's and their O/S's? SGI/DEC/IBM/DG/$etc ? Wonderful to see another A2000 back up and running.

Coincidences. So I had a dreadful few weeks with the hobby. Stuff randomly breaking, cleaning disgustingly dirty PCs, getting a bit sick of it all and then to top it off, this morning I accidentally nuked a very prescious fully patched, german Windows XP install by acidentally overwriting the whole harddrive partition with a 1.44 MB floppy disk image. Yeah... So I am sitting down with a plate of fat and carbs, borderline suicidal and think about whether it's all still worth it... And I decide to catch up on this Australian dude's videos and I click on this. Now I am crying into my bloody spaghetti...
