cool video.ive not long had my gotek and I'm having a problem when saving a game or career in SWOS it will work ok then suddenly after a while i get disk error come up for no reason. its happened twice now the first time was half way through a season in career mode and the last time i had completed the full season in career mode saved it and the next time i came to play it the save disk said disk error. any idea's why? has anyone in the comments had this? or does any one play swos with a gotek and have it saving ok i cant work out why it does it

I have one problem, and maybe someone can help. I have Amiga 500 with internal GOTEK drive. Gotek works BUT boots from slot 1. That means, when I load slots, for example, 19.20,21 etc. with some multi disk game, I hit F10 to save and reboot but instead of booting slot 19, GOTEK boots slot 1. Can anyone help me how to force GOTEK to boot from any selected slot and not just slot 1 .

All gone well but the save. I put OFF the write protection as well, but ....nothing. Any suggestion? Thks

If i Press F10. I will came Back to the menu and nothing saved 😭😭 What can i do?

Hi i did everything as in the video but my gotek keeps saying error*31? Anyone knows why?

Yes, because Gotek can not read .zip files. You must first unpack every single file before you put it in the Gotek. I was having the same problem.

I am going to get one of these for my amiga500...does it have to be installed inside the casing.?...if i get extended data ribbon and power lead can i run it from outside the amiga...thanks.

You can buy an external gotek with everything you need. If you want to install it inside the case you need to take the board out of the gotek housing, buy a 3d printed bracket for it.

How do i get back on that "gotek main menu " if i wanna change slots or menage adf files ? How can i prevent amiga to actually boot from the selected image and go to gotek adf list instead ? Thanks

I just installed mine and the way I get back to the menu, the menu name [Autoboot] appears as an image, so I select is just as I would a game image and soft reboot with crtl+A+A

One question : when you change the slot number on the Gotek how do you reset the Amiga to load the selected file? Do I need each time to power cycle the machine?

If you are just changing disks for multi disk games then just move it to the required disk. If you have multiple games loaded in the slots then change the slot number and press CTRL A A

One more question. My A500 has I think the Kickstart 1.3 and an extra 512K slow memory in the expansion slot at the back. I cannot load many demos and when I try I will just get the prompt asking for the Workbench. I have tried to load the "LOVE" demo and more but does not work. Is there a specific config to have this working? Games loading is fine.

i have the same problem here. i start workbench from cf. then open a disk from gotek drive. works. but when changing the slot nothing happens - no new disk inserted. i tried to play a multidisk game frmo gotek but it also fails. doesnt change disks it seems. any suggestions? i updated to latest version of ff in 12/2022 and use it as an external drive.
