I used to play you at the bar I worked in... whenever you singed something (dark humour) fun, people here laughted their asses off, and whenever you've been real, they went: 'shit... this is real.'' I watched my brother fight this fight. He didn't make it. The cannibal got him in the end. The first time I heard this song I saw him and his struggles and my struggles as a recovering addict. The fight and the struggle is real. To all who suffer I hope you find the strength to make it out alive. To those who have made it out stay strong.

I used smack for 5 years. I quit 9 years ago almost. I successfully detoxed cold turkey about 4 times, but relapsed every time. Once I had hit rock bottom, I decided to go on suboxone and go to rehab for around 11 months. Keep trying to quit, and take it one day at a time. The most important thing is building a structured routine and setting goals. Rehab helps with that, but it can be done in outpatient or even at home if you have a good support group. Wish you the best of luck, stay safe out there.

I feel this one hard.. I went through one hell of a drug addiction and this song is a perfect analogy for my ride through hell and back to sobriety. 8 years clean and it was not until the last couple years I started to feel like what I feel is my true self again. Thank you for your music.

God, I love the cinematography of this video and the way the lyrics show up subtly in the corner is so good. As for the song itself; it’s very beautifully written; the visceral feelings aren’t lost or muddled with the lyrics. I find myself resonating with the song in both the sense of a creeping addiction, as well as an outside force causing changes that I never wished to see in me.
