Oh my God what beauty you have made in this world.... Thank You for this little Angel, as she grows, the sweetest, most beautiful face and expressions. At the end of the song she always smiles at the audience in an expression asking how they liked that... and she curtsies in the most memorable way. We will remember her .... for as long as we can remember. Certain that she will be singing someday with a backup chorus of Heavenly Angels before the Throne of God... and will give curtsies at the end of of each song to The Father Son and Holy Spirit, and then as always, to the rest of us her audience. Let me first say that I am a classical violinist. I have also been an extra in many operas. I saw my first opera many years ago. A person’s first experience with opera is a very dramatic one, you either love it or you don’t. If you love it you will always love it, it will become part of your soul. If you don’t love it you can learn to like it but will never become, part of you. Opera has become a part of my soul. That’s the way I felt when I saw my first opera. I don’t get that feeling about things very often. I got that same feeling the first time I heard this angelic young girl sing like an angel. It brought tears to my eyes. She is so genuine and real, so unpretentious. She seems so surprised at the adulation that she receives, a rarity. Music just flows from her so effortlessly at such a young age. When someone so talented becomes successful sometimes they get pulled in many different directions. I hope you follow your dream, Amira, not someone else’s. Keep your beautiful and wonderful family close to you. I truly wish your family much love, happiness and health. Just follow the voice in your heart, Amira!

This young lady drew me in, from the fringes of Opera and Classical Crossover, to a full fledged fan. But it has to be some kind of ironic that I got there looking for an old Rock and roll favorite, Sukiyaki, nee Ue o Muite Arukou and Sayonara, Sayonara. Finding Kenji Tanimura and Subaru, OMG! Hibari Misora! Yawara, Kawa No Nagare No Youni. Lots of others, but it adds up to motivating me to try more of this Opera "junk". And Amira put the knife straight through my heart. I can never go back the the Pop stuff, just can't. And I am a 67 year old American. You expressed my feelings for Amira's talent perfectly.

When I first heard her sing I cried. I cannot explain it. I listened to a lot of music from the 1940's until now and I never heard anything like this. She is so young and so talented. When I am feeling low I just listen to her music and it makes me feel good again. God Bless her
I grew up with the wonderful music of the 40'sand still think it far surpasses anything we hear today.By accident I heard Amira, sing mio babbino a caro and I cried.I am 96 years old and of Italian decent and wonder why haven't I l listened to this beautiful music all my life.Thanks to Amira .Bravo Amira!!!
My late father's favourite singer was Jeanette Mcdonald and my favourite song of her's was Ave Maria on youtube, now Amira is the only one I have heard that comes anywhere near Jeanette's singing for range and i'm sure her voice is that of an angel and still only a child.
Wow, she's got good! Her talent was obvious but I was concerned that she may have damaged her vocal chords trying to reach those notes when she was so young. She's going from strength to strength. Just wonderful.
According to several (very surprised) vocal coaches, Amira has managed (all by herself by watching RU-vid videos on how to sing opera) to learn the correct operatic technique, so she hasn't damaged her voice at all. Some of the other young opera singers (e.g Church, Evancho) use the wrong technique (look closely at their mouths when they sing and you'll see the difference between them and Amira) that's why they have crossed over to more Pop music now.
When this soul sang, her vocal performance unlike many others seized to be mere entertainment for me, it has become a philosophy of Art. Amira is a living proof of spirituality superseding material world, atom by atom, deep inside every human soul.. I frankly wish her all the best in life!

Dafydd, the perfect description. I don't think most people fully appreciate how difficult it is to sing softly and oh so slowly and modulate your voice as Amira does in all of her performances here. Artistry barely doe her justice but unfortunately we don't have the vocabulary to accurately describe Amiras voice and what she so capably does with it here.. I was highly critical of this performance. Not of Amiras incredible performance and interpretation but of the recording quality. Amiras performance is so unbelievable that the distortion of her upper range, (especially when she added even just a bit of power) was so jarring and disturbing that it came close to ruining it for me. It's only after letting it sit for a while and coming back to listen again that I realized how truley outstanding this whole performance actually is, poor sound engineering, chorus of street people and the oompah band aside Amira displays an artistry here, and an understanding of the music and such control that the slow pace set by the conductor that st first so irritated me as a "mistake" enabled Amira to almost effortlessly wring the maximum amount of emotion, beauty and meaning out of almost every syllable. This performance certainly gives the lie to those critics who say a young person doesn't have the life experience to song with the proper emotion. I wonder what they hear when the listen to Amira.Her talent is so much greater then her voice. I still don't understand it and I can't describe it, but starting at 9 years old she brought more sympathy and understanding to her musical performances then most adults are every capable of achieving. As I come back to listen to this after an absence of several months or so I can finally accept what a "tour de force, this actually is in spite of the surrounding flaws which she so easily overcomes. Just unbelievable.
All I can say is my jaw has dropped to the floor in awe of this young lady. I have watched her the past week, and I am captivated and astounded by the beauty of this angel's voice......... I do think she's left her seat in the seraphic choir and is visiting earth for a while. Amazed and my spirit soars to hear her. God bless her.

Christoffer Lindh.... I hadn't listen to Amira, for some time... But, when moments ago, I watched video of her 1st audition, I was left stunned and, totally overcome with passionate admiration, as though I had seen seen that video for the first time... I fact I had watched video of Amira's first audition more than hundred times before.... Amira's talent is so natural and pure.... It burst upon us, complete and, hypnotizing, as though cultivated in some higher place, in heaven, not in any worldly setting.

Amira says she just likes to sing aria (and aria-type) opera songs, but it seems she’s not fully aware of the effect she’s had on so many people like me: a whole new world of sensational, emotional music. Like Hideo Shibata below, my eyes, too, fill with tears when I hear her sing. And I, too, am addicted to her singing. I’ve just watched a Pavarotti PBS repeat performance (for fund raising), something I’ve never done before because I never cared for opera. But my tastes have changed since listening so often to 9- 13-year-old Amira on RU-vid.

I've watched Amira's appearance on Holland's Got Talent at least 30 times. She is so forthwright and unaffected, u r rooting for her after the first few notes.
I imagine when composers wrote their awesome compositions, they have had an angelic and expressive voice like Amiras in mind. Divine this young lady....I think she'll be exceptional at any age...

I don't wish to dispute anyone that have a talent to sing opera in America - but there is a maturity of European young adolescent that can't be matched by others. I'm a 65-year old American from Georgia, but I have to absolutely (and sadly) admit that you are right. I think of Amira Willighagen from Holland, Angelina Jordan from Norway, Daneliya Tuleshova from Kazikhstan, Connie Talbot & Jonathan Antoine, both from Great Britain, and others who are so mature, so "professional" in their vocal abilities, so confident and poised, so charismatic and stage-commanding, yet at the same time, such humble, kindhearted, humanitarian, and loving souls at such insanely young ages! Someone please refresh my memory if you read my comment, but the ONLY American young prodigy who comes to mind and fits these descriptions would be Jackie Evancho from Pennsylvania!

What an incredible young lady with character, talent, beauty, charm, poise, grace, ad infinitum! And, like myself, she is also a Christian, and she's not shy in giving God the glory for all she is and all she has done. She is Romanian, but she lives in Chicago, as I'm sure you already know. Another who I discovered about the same time as Laura is Dimash Kudaibergen from Kazhakstan. Though he's older (in his mid to late 20's), I've read that he also is a very kind, giving, compassionate humanitarian-type individual. Yes, there is definitely "something in the water" in Europe, and some of it filtered into the Chicago water supply apparently! Lol! Thank you and blessings to you and yours!

We have a few extraordinary young female singers at the moment, apart from Amira: Jackie Evancho, born in 2000 Patricia Janeckova, born 1998 Laura Bretan, born 2002 All of them are out of this world.... They sing like angels.
