Greatness! No classical singer can achieve Amira's natural expressiveness. Amira has no need for mouth acting, no exaggerated gestures, no artificial emotive voice. Because she has a high power of focus, concentration, deep inner dive, and also because she sincerely believes in what she sings, Amira can fully express the emotion of the lyrics and music in a way that touches everyone's soul.
Oh c'mon, that's a bit harsh for classical singers in general. She is great yes but still has room to grow further in both, technique and performance. If she keeps going at her current pace she can be one of the greats when she reaches her mature years. Check Fernando Lima, he also makes it seem effortless and transmits a lot with his voice.
There are female singers all over the world who are good at singing, but even among them, Amira is not a singer created by humans. People are fascinated and get goosebumps and shed tears. Amira is special.

I tried to listen to another performance of this song by another artist and it was impossible, Amira's voice has charmed my heart and now I can only listen to the shimmering sweetness in her tone when she sings so beautifully!
@Shrn Good for you, I am listening to Sissel now and respect your right to your own opinion, but I only enjoy the performance by Amira - it touches my heart in new and unexpected ways - it is an inexplicable phenomenon. I prefer to leave comparisons aside and just focus on things that resonate with my subjective taste and I admire people like you who can accommodate a wider palate than I do, because I am always fixated on unique things I love and currently it is Amira's voice.

Blijf alsjeblieft zingen want je stem is als balsem op de ziel van heel veel mensen die onder ziekte, zorgen en verdriet gebukt gaan maar ook de gezonde mensen komen tot rust bij het horen van je stem. This is one of my favorites of Amira's. It not only showcases her great talent but her sincere message of love and blessing within her ministry. She has a heart as big as her talent. The Lord touched her soul at an early age and in doing so has blessed us all.
I need to add another comment. I am sorry it took this long to see the concert. Just could not find the time with medical issues. I bought the ticket last night California time. Verified could get in. Watched it while on dialysis a few hours ago. Let me tell you she did it again. Yes, I heard this piece many times here on you tube. It was outstanding. But, watching the concert she did an out of this world performance. That Soprano voice stronger than anything I have ever heard. What I meant was she hid the voice almost 1 1/2 years, except the tribute song, That voice still crystal clear. Thank You Amira. I will re-watch tomorrow, and Friday. Then buy another ticket. Someone said no more Opera, they need to watch the concert in full
Iv been watching Amira since 2013 Holland got talent at 8 years old .she was perfect then now she is amazing ,I'm a big fan .!I'm 80 yr old man .this woman is a gift from the universe to humanity for peace .she brings good people together..

I follow her since she was 9 years old. Her voice, tender, beauty and lovely presence make her a beautiful singer on the stage and outside. This young girl has demonstrated that her heart is as bis as her determination to help children in Southafrica building places to the children where they can play and stay out of violence, drugs and gangs. When she was only a little child she wanted to help as many children as she could and half of her income from her performances go to her Foundation to that purpose, help the children happy. Amira Willighagen is a wonderful human being. God bless her (and her family) for many years to come.

This reminds me of some of bravest men ever As the titanic was sinking and peoplebwere panicking the ships band set up on the dec and started playing this hymn. I quieted the people who new the words were their future. The played till they could play no more. Surely they did meet there god that day.
