शिवाजी मंदिर च्या बाहेर सिंथेटिक्स साड्यांचे दुकानातून मी साडी घेतली होती , ती खराब झाली एका महिन्यात , घेवूनगेले तर लगेच दुसरी घ्या असे धीरूभाई बोलले. दुकानदार चिडून बोलतात पण ते शांतपणे बोलले, काही झाले तर या परत. असा चांगला स्वभाव मिळणे कठीणच!

Paying homage to someone who had tried to help him during his hard times can hardly be equated to talking in favour of. He is a self made man whose hard work and acting chops have withstood the test of time . He is still going strong where his contemporaries have faded away and the new breed of actors are threaten by his presence. Dhirubhai and Amitabh had mutual respect for each other as was told in the anecdote. Today he is the second Indian who ranks among the world's richest actors at this age . He deserves appreciation and respect not scorn.

Actually the thing is Amitabh Bachan has used famous rich people as his ladder to rise to fame. 1)He used Legendary Comedian Mehmood to get movies and once he became famous he left his friendship. 2)Same thing happened with Kader Khan .. 3)He made friendship with Anil Ambani,Amar Singh during the time of his bankruptcy and took help from Dhirubhai Ambani.Now when Anil Ambani is bankrupt he is not with him. You can see the interview of Mehmood ,Kadar Khan What is this kind of opportunist friendship?
