What a great era the 80's was. Interview held in a peaceful and sophisticated environment. Professionalism on both the sides. Absolutely no "chhichhorapan" at all.
She might have gone through a lot in life might be that's the reason she is always agitated now.She was such an adorable person and a superb actress.God bless her
Feels like going back in a time machine - this interview was recorded when video cassettes and VCP/R's were the next best tech. 37 years down the line the world has changed so much.
Jaya is one strong perfect wife & mother. Her life was not that easy as people thought......she had to go through a lot and same time bind her family together.
Jaya had wonderful grace and sobriety. She was so dignified and she was idealized by girls.Today's heroines cannot even dream of commanding such grace and dignity. But sadly Jaya changed later on.
Lucky to be in this era . Enjoyed my entire high school like and early college watching him .. Jaya ji is so damn cute here ... her smile remindsr of the Guddi song in s similar yellow saree
This is such a soothing interview to watch.Who can imagine that a superstar could be so clam and polite. These days the stars have such an arrogant and melodramatic body language.
Poora Abhimaan dekh Liya lag rha hai.i loved Jaya ji in that movie wo Goan ki choti si pyari si ,bholi si ,hasmukh ,chulbuli, posessive and saadgi yha bhi dekhne Mila. My favourite Abhimaan movie is evergreen
You can say they're well spoken with good expressions in their language. But it's not what is called 'pure Hindi'. As it has been already pointed out, It's Hindustani.
At 4:07, Amitabh says that these days there are videos in buses , to which Jaya is shocked. It was unbelievable during that time. Who knew that technology advanced so much that smartphones would be invented!
AB talking about video is khatra in '83 and Jayaji giving shocking reactions... Little did they know that this world is going to turn into a digital hub!!!
Amitabh Bachhan Ji and Jaya Bachhan ki real life Jodi bohot Achhi hein...Luv to see the couple together...Interview v chalraha hein aur Pehley Zamaney ki joh Saadgi thi woh v khoob hein...Kaash yeh Zamana v aisaa hojaata...😊👍💐🎂....
Jaya was afraid to talk her mind, at the end of every sentence she had to look for his husband's reaction. Sure, Amitabh Bacchan was highly dominating.
@Rocky Boy back in those days it was just a fashion for women to do that. it was seen as civilised and very traditional & respectful because other women back then were mainly villagers who had no manners.
This is pure gold.If god asks me what do you want,I will beg him to take me back to 83 era. This will gives the opportunity to witness the greatest year for India.83 World Cup victory and some magic moments like this along with great movies in that year.
It wasn't so nice. Back then, it was difficult to see through people's hypocrisy. There was no social media. There was just government-controlled Doordarshan TV and All India Radio besides the print media.
*Did anyone notice her hair style, charisma and way of talking is matching with kangana ranaut a lot. She either imitates her or it is natural coincidence.*
@Bhavik Patel Its started with Awaara of Raj kapoor many many years ago. I guess 60 or 65 years ago. Ever since the Turks like to watch Indian movies. And Amitabh is very known actor of 70s and 80 ies.
Amazing to know that jaya didn't know about video films being shown in buses then. I remember watching a movie DO KALIYAN from manali to pathankot semi deluxe bus on the way to kashmir for my honeymoon in 1984. That was the time when all the small towns had video halls every where in small towns and villages. We were so impressed to see a big pock sized video cassette containing whole movie without any interval . Those were the days.
Ush mirchi ka naam hai media.. see the difference of taking interviews in those days..simple, elegant and respectful. Today's media is senseless..does not do proper homework and does not know what questions to be asked.
3.00 talking about video piracy in 1983; Gulabo Sitabo released on Amazon Prime 2020. Who could have even imagined then that the way we make movies, plays, webseries, etc would be revolutionized. Our movies from the past depict what story tellers wanted to say and as audience we wanted to view. With so much revolution in entertainment. We have so much more to choose from. Times change. The way we tell stories change, the stories change... Kal aur ayenge mujse behtar kehne wale, tum se behtar sunnay wale...mai pal do pal ka shayar hoon... lines from AB's film
