I burned out a motor on my phoenix a couple weeks ago. It had those same driveshafts like you have in yours. It never rolled back and forth easily when the power was off. I checked axles, tranny and when I put it back together it still rolled hard. So, I left each end of the drive shafts on and checked it again. Turns out, the one on the front of the tranny was to tight against the transmission and was causing drag. "So I put the stock plastic ones on that were made for it". Now when the power is off, it roles nice and easy back and forth......as it should. "It was a rig that I bought used and will probably not do that again". Many screw holes were stripped out as well. Great build you have there and it isn't a speedy process to perfect them.
