I tried it, and it was really tasty. I also added garlic and curry leaves. The overnight fermentation process with ACV and tablespoon of jaggery really gives it the perfect taste. Thank you fo this amazing recipe.
Mam ur recipes are always healthy as much as tasty, I was planning to make pickle this winter but could not find the healthiest way to make it. Now, this is my recipe for pickle I follow to make this weekend. Once again thank you for bringing so many tasty plus healthy recipes to us.
Superb amla pickle recipe. Normally pickles take lot of oil. But u made it with less oil with delicious touch. Is it necessary to add apple cider vinegar? Gooseberry itself has sour taste. Thank u for this tangy, mouth watering pickle recipe.
Just sun dry crystal salt till it is devoid of moisture add to amla ,put it in a glass jar close it n sun dry it . The moisture will be absorbed in a few days. Add masala as per your choice n the pickle is ready. No need for vinegar at all. At most care should be taken with respect to all the ingredients ( make sure no moisture) .
I like your channel, often follow your healthy recipes. Our indian Traditional way doesn't have vinegar. Why are you using it mam? Could you please answer.
Beautiful recipe I tried it and it’s amazing 😻. Do you by any chance have a video re lemon pickle the traditional way . I see you have the instant one. Thanks again and much love from Canada 🇨🇦
Nisha thank you for all the wholesome recipes & good tips of healthy living. For this recipe can I use frozen amala, sometimes I don’t get fresh were I live!
There is slight difference, how its prepared in south. I mean in Tamil nadu. we do not use Kashmiri Chilli powder, because it only gives the color but not the preferred taste. So we use the other Native chilli powder and also we add 1 tbs of grounded mustard powder. Everything else is exactly the same.
Hi Mam can I use lemon juice instead of vinegar? Can I use cold pressed coconut oil instead of sesame oil? I’m in USA I can’t get fresh Amla.. I can get frozen one can I use that one?
Hi Nisha....I made this amla pickle...I exactly followed your recipe ...it has turned out nice but the apple cider vinegar has left the taste too sour n the flavour is pungent. Can I add more jaggery powder to balance the taste of apple cider...it's been a week already.
