the Shadow did this intentionally to scare Daniel... making him move faster to get a hold of Alexander.. in Reality... the Shadow does NOT have to "stomp" or "walk" to devour its enemies...
@@leoestellar5232 Exactly. The shadow's main goal is keeping the orbs safe, not killing. It will only kill you if it will secure the safety of the orbs. The shadow was never evil to begin with, it's just protective of the orbs. The shadow had always helped Daniel get to Alexander.
If you get to the stairs, the shadow won't touch you. Unless you turn around and walk into the organic matter, if you are on the stairs, you will be completely safe actually.
That's right, the PHYSICAL monsters in Amnesia are the least of your worries(storywise I mean, playwise they'll gut you), even the infamous invisible waterbound Kaernk. You can run from them, hide from them, outsmart them. But the lovecraftian eldritch interdimensional bodyless abstract entity known as the Shadow/Guardian? What could a mere mortal, not even very well wersed in dark magic lore, possibly do, but to remain open to its whims and pray?
A little drop? No. If someone swung it at you, yeah, absolutely, lights out in an instant, but a drop needs time to accelerate that fast that it didn't have. I mean, I could see it making him dizzy, but that's about it
@@uncroppedsoop Cough, Cough. You know that we are talking about Daniel here right? Daniel is a fragile man. He's head is probably made out of jello. So no, he would have passed out.
@@uncroppedsoop Thats not a little drop or a little piece of wood, if that was real you might die let alone get knocked out. You also could never move it by hand that way either. Next time you see an 8" by 8" piece of lumber much taller than you try picking it up and let me know how it goes lol.
I think its important for ya'll to know this the shadow isnt the red fleshy substance its only what the shadow leaves behind the shadow is an invisible entity.
Because it was something unique. Amnesia The Dark Descent was one of the first survival horror games in which you are completely defenseless and you have to avoid your enemies. This was massive in 2010 when it came out. Even to this day, this game has aged extremely well. Even in 2021, playing this game blind for the first time would still make you shit your pants.
