A most intriguing amoeba. This (sadly pixillated) amoeba appears to be Amoeba Terricola.
It is also called Thecamoeba terricola. It has a tough pellicle simulating a shell.
It can be found widely in damp soil in and nearby freshwater bodies equipped with mosses, and muddy soil.
