Damn. I got into Amon Amarth around Deceiver of the Gods. I never really checked out their early stuff. These lyrics are much more brutal than the later music.

The earlier albums aren't as polished but they had some of the best songs and most brutal lyrics.

It's not often I find myself headbanging on my own. Amon Amarth is such an awesome band. Johan's vocals are amazing. I can't wait to see them live again one day.

The Crusher was such a well-written album, I can't even imagine what it would be like to hear the entire thing re-recorded... Fucking masterpiece.

Been a fan since discovering the “Sorrow Throughout the Nine Worlds” demo that I traded through the mail from a dude in Germany during late (fall) ‘96. I remember rushing to my local record shop to buy “Once Sent....” when that dropped on disc and played it so often, I’m surprised it didn’t disintegrate inside of a player. If only Death Metal trophies were ever a thing to be awarded.. Almighty Hails to A.A.! 🤘🤘

Holy Fuckin Shit.... This remake is fuckin amazing..!!!! This was the 1st tour I saw Amon Amarth so this has sentimental value. It was a small club, Jaxx in Springfield Virginia they where supporting Marduk but Marduk couldn't make it because of passport issues.. AA became headline... Then the tour fell apart because of lack of interest..!! Can you imagine that now a days.... How far this amazing band has come.. To my story There where only 30-40 people in the club and AA where selling there own merchandise.. Olavi sold me my T-shirts and I met Johan. He was so nice and he made sure all the fellas signed my CD. No one else cares but I'll never forget it and what made me faithful fan ever sense... Amazing Why they are my favorite band..... I've seen so many times I've lost count...

I hope their next album sounds more old skool and heavy like this, and less like the newest album. Imagine if they remade Once Sent From The Golden Hall, one can dream!
