:)) There is nothing heroic to die in an useless battle, like many hundreds of battle in history. Millions of people died for nothing in battles in the last 1500 years (from the fall of Roman Empire and starting of the Middle Age).
I can't say I'm really knowledgeable in those things, but that seems like a piss-poor strategy by the invaders in that clip. -Let's wait for them to form a united front. -Fire exactly one arrow each. -Fuck it, let's charge their spears with our bodies!
+MagicBoris82 Saxons never fought like that.They fought the shield wall way same as the Norse.If this fight realy took place those Vikings would of never left alive .Their ship would of been burned and they would of been crushed without mercy.

That Garrison probably didn't had any experience in fighting, because noone attacked Nothumbria in that area since the saxons conquered britania. You need experience or at least a proper military exercise to fight like "real" Saxons, but these Saxons where to busy fighting each other. That's probably why these greenhorns fought like that

love amon amarth my fav band seem then live. Song is about Viking battle tactics re the shield wall they made but all fighting as brothers in warfare no wonder they are one of the best warriors in battle and explorers. There is some ancient text in museums which mention that if you mess with one Viking you mess with them all and they become an unstoppable force. Goes to show the brotherhood Vikings had. Nothing but respect for the Norse hence I follow the Norse way and worship the Aesir.
Floki walking out from that bushes with gold cross is fuckin' epic, one of the best rofl scenes from "Viking's". I just cant wait for "Wolin - Slavic/Viking festival" in this year and i have a BIG hope to see "Amon Amarth" there too some beautifull day.
my only complaint (waited for the combination of the show and AA ever since it's started!) is that the author used the same scenes twice. no need for that, the show is full of epic battles :)
Such an awesome track, especially from 2:45 onwards--Amon Amarth doesn't seem to be slowing down at all. Cool video too, it's a shame you had to loop it in order for it to last long enough; vikings win their battles too quickly it seems!

Erin Selfe except everything is off like the armour and events....the vikings wore helmets and more armour then are depicted but how can u see the main characters when they have helmets on. Also there were "shield maidens" except they wouldn't be at the front lines of the wall like they are depicted. They'd be at the back killing warriors who'd run away
