I'm trying not to be toxic while saying this, but just try to imagine being on trial for a serious crime, only to find out that your life is in the hands of a live streamer.
So funny moment of serving on a jury: I was in the jury selection part and not sure what the case was about. The lawyer asked everyone do u have a problem with theft of a big box store I raise my hand and state I work at said box store, immediately dismissed me. Doesn't end there the lawyer for the prosecution meets me in the hallway and asked if I knew anything else turns out I stopped another person they were prosecuting in another case the next week. So I went from juror to witness in an hour.
I've served people. 9/10 times people just take it. And if they don't want to, just toss it at them. People instinctively catch the item you are tossing.
Serving someone here in Australia, you only need to confirm that it is the person. Then say I have these legal documents for you. Once that is done, you can drop it at their feet. It is then their responsibility to read the documents from that point. Then it is their problem if they claim ignorance.
