Opinion: this is better than SML’s version of among us

This episode was very good. I love how we now know the perspective from the imposter. I love how toad says at the beginning “this is the tale of the mushroom uprising”. This was pure gold.

This came out so great!! I loved Goomba and Toad's cooperation as the mushroom uprising, and especially the narrations in their minds hahaha. I think my favorite line was from Goomba saying, "Toad, why? I thought what we had was special!" A genius move on Toad's part to further cover up his role by agreeing with the crewmates. They were such a cute pro and less experienced duo.

Really liked this one, especially the part where toad self-reported, knowing that Bowser would be kicked out. Very clever on his end!

Before the Crewmate video started I said that Toad was the Imposter... I may be a psychic Also, love your videos man. I’ve been watching them since Mario’s Quest Part 5. Keep up the amazing work!

Ok I like how Toad is all "Ok it's big brain time" before failing miserably. I'd kept Yoshi alive and killed Wario or Luigi instead. If that happened, Luigi's logic wouldn't work because both Yoshi and Toad were out of the room, giving Toad free reign to pin the deed on Yoshi.

What a great representation of what an evil Toad would be like. Makes me wish one or two would show up in an official Mario game...

I think the crewmate version will be preferred because the viewer is also part of the mystery "sus"ing it out themselves, but the imposter version is great too with insight into the mid game thoughts.

Now for the Imposter version! >:) I think you guys really do spoil us viewers with how well you treat us. :) Speaking of which, thank you for the spoiler warning at the beginning, and for keeping the thumbnail spoiler free! Even though I’ve already seen the Crewmember version, I’m glad you were thinking of the people who haven’t. Spoilers in the thumbnails of videos (and sometimes in the video titles) are a pet peeve of mine… *SPOILERS, PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO BEFORE READING* We get an opening with Toad’s adorable, evil laugh! And the Goomba sound, which I assume is also an evil laugh! >:D Toad’s narration was a nice touch, it’s like he’s telling it to his children when he’s older. XD I like seeing the clips of the other characters with the imposters that we didn’t get to see, like with Peach complimenting the room made to look like her castle! :D ‘Nice!’ indeed! We see Goomba considering which one to go for, and he then heads for Peach, which was a pretty smart move for his part. Bowser would be much better to leave and frame. Poor Peach can’t even properly finish her first task, before she sees the imposter, too late to make a getaway! I like the animation you did for the kill scene! :) In the first discussion, I love hearing Toad’s thoughts throughout it: his first comment kind of mirrored my thoughts with the crewmember version, I did think Goomba was being a bit forward, and it made him look suspicious from the very beginning, especially since I had a hunch that you guys wouldn’t go for the obvious and make Bowser the imposter. Goomba’s thoughts were priceless! “I Am sO SaFe rIgHt NoW…” LOL! That would be his thought pattern! XD Toad is obviously the brains of the operation, and I love how the dynamic worked! Goomba did another surprising bout of good thinking in his next scene, leaving them alone to make them trust him. If only he could have known that that would be the downfall of the Mushroom Uprising later on! But Toad made a bad choice to foil that. Next, we have Toad thinking rightly that he could kill two birds with one stone if he took down Waluigi with Bowser being there and distracted, and then he reported the body himself! Genius! >:) The Big Blooper Appears music was a good choice for that part, too, since it’s a remix of Super Mario Bros. 3 Underwater. In the discussion, Toad gleefully finds his cover story working, especially when Yoshi is accused by Bowser! Even Goomba can see that the plan worked perfectly! >:) Afterwards, Toad and Goomba go off together and laugh about their success, and then we get to see how the sabotages took place. And Goomba goes off into the Warp Pipe… Toad leaves the Mushroom Uprising sign in Bowser’s Castle. Was that a tactic of his to get them to suspect Goomba even more, thus stabbing his own partner in the back and keeping people off Toad’s trail? Oooh… Ah, so when Goomba was chasing Mario, it was then that he realized he could sabotage! I just love the voice you gave Goomba! XD The way Toad is so sassy about how Yoshi’s safe in the discussion of Mario’s kill was interesting, but it is what ultimately led to the downfall of the Mushroom Uprising without him realizing it! And then Toad realizes that Goomba’s in trouble because he’s so bad at lying. He can’t save him, so he votes him off, much to Goomba’s dismay! Lol ‘Yoshi is safe, huh? >:)’ Toad was a malicious little fungus, going after Yoshi like that… He got Yoshi to let his guard down, too! Evil! >:( Though I like the sound effects you had him do, with the spitting and laughing as Yoshi turned his back. :P It was interesting that up until now, Goomba was going for the usual good guys, and Toad was going for the usual bad guys of the cast. The fact that Yoshi and Toad are considered friends in the main series just makes Toad’s crime all the more heinous! So, in the discussion, Toad makes up a convincing lie, hoping they’ll skip the vote. But when Luigi points out the major evidence, Toad realizes his mistake! :D ‘Do something really clever, Toad! Big brain moment… It was Luigi!!’ XD So ended the Mushroom Uprising… for now, anyway. Great ending screen for the Imposter Version! I really would like to see this become its own series. :) Hmm… I like both the crewmember and the imposter versions for their own unique viewpoints, but I have to agree with some other viewers that the crewmember version is just a bit more intense and fun because there’s more of an element of surprise. Thanks again! Here’s to another great episode to come! ^_^
