I am fascinated to discover that this is an actual choreographed dance. I thought it was something that the instructor at the senior center here in Tennessee just made up, He doesn't teach it like this though. He just does right heel,step, left heel, step. and vine right with a quarter turn right and stomp. It is still 8 cts and it is much easier for an absolute beginner dancer.

I learned this dance MANY years ago in my square dancing club, under the tutelage of the immortal caller/teacher, Joe Casey.

Thank you Karen. As a choreographer, I try to present the steps exactly as the original choreographer intended them to be done. Phyllis, That is why I made the video; to show there is a "right" way and a 'wrong" way to do these dances, if you are a Purist who enjoys the dances as the Choreographer intended them to be done. So many dances (mine included) have been changed through learning them erroneously or to simplify them.
