This is a great show, with great actors and well written scripts. It still stands the test of time. It is head and shoulders above anything on TV today.

My grandparents had twin beds too. I guess it's because they were not in the baby making business back then they were too old

Yes they were the best thing on the air back in the '50s and the '60s. I love that show. It was very entertaining. Good acting❤❤

The end credits has Joe Connelly and Bob Mosher the men who wrote and produced Leave It To Beaver and The Monsters . Also Bob Ross who wrote and produced the latter episodes of the Andy Griffith Show .

I thought she was really mean in this episode too. Way overboard and overreacting.

What a nice show. I wish that we could turn back time and erase all the wrongs. But since it did happen, wouldn't it be nice if it was forgiven and forgotten?

It was because of the society morals at that time. Sexual topics or any hint of them were forbidden on television. The censors were very strict.

They took this off the air becouse it was better than Lucy they wouldnt t let them out shine Lucille Ball

It was taken off the air because the NAACP labeled it as racist. As not being an accurate portrayal of black people". They finally succeeded by threatening to boycott the sponsor, Blatz Beer.

@@alfredmartinez6166: But African-Americans were portrayed as lawyers, dignified preachers, judges, etc. It was a genuinely funny show because of great writing and acting.

@@chynnadoll3277 The secondary characters were dignified characters. The main characters were swindlers, dimwits, and harpies except for Amos who barely played a part in the television series.

NAACP protested the show and threaten to sue/boycott the producers/show so the story goes.
