Based solely on your reviews, I think I’d prefer the 46! I love a clean, sweet (but not soapy) scent. That price tag is special though. 😮

Loved your review! I have a decant coming of Guidance 46 but I will probably end up getting it because I think I would like a smoother version of the OG. I’m sad to hear about the reformulation of the original because once my first bottle runs out, I probably won’t repurchase it because of the changes.

Thank you so much! I have heard conflicting reports of the reformulation of Guidance. I’m tempted to grab a bottle from the H batch and try it side by side with the G batch I have. Glad to hear you’re loving Guidance 46 🥰. It is definitely full bottle worthy

I will stick with the OG, I can’t see myself grab the Extrait even with the discount, i was planning to get backup bottle, but I got Bayn Alsrar instead and I am so satisfied with it, I would wear Bayn Alsrar for the day time and guidance for the nighttime and I am the happiest with Both❤️

Guidance is one of my favorites ever! Sometimes I do wish it was a little less spicy:powdery but still love it. How does this compare to Guidance OG? Is it less spicy incensey or sweeter? If you had to only pick one which would you choose?

Guidance 46 is sweeter, woodier, cleaner. It’s really hard for me to pick one I like better. Guidance 46 is daytime, put together. OG Guidance is so much more sensual and sexy! This is my fave scent right now so I see myself having both in my collection

Oh lord people are already starting with this reformulation talk lol. Mine starts with an H and it's absolutely nuclear. If anyone thinks Guidance doesn't last, I'm sorry but they need a covid test. Anyway, I can't wait to sample this new extrait! I love the original so I think I'll love this one too despite the objection from my wallet lol.

Amouage Guidance is very pretty. To me, it’s not as strong as I’d expect based on reviews. Their serial numbers now begin with I, so maybe it’s been diluted a-bit and if so, that’s ok with me. This version already has great projection and longevity so anything stronger would have been too much. Material, Honor Woman, and Epic 56 are in my collection. I wanted to try to Lilac Love that was released in 2023 but that’s no longer on the market. Don’t fancy the current version of lilac love so I’ll stick to the 4 that I have.

What do you think about the sillage and lasting power ? How many hours did you still smell it projecting off your skin until it faded into a skin scent ??

It's about the same longevity & projection as the OG, which is fine because the original one was already a nuclear scent. It would've been hard to top without giving people a headache. Both lasted 12hrs + on my skin before fading to a skin scent, and lasted days on my clothes.

I totally agree that the first few minutes definitely give me that vibe. It was quite jarring to my nose and then it settles into the pretty stuff that people mention. It gets to the good stuff faster on skin than on paper, btw. But yeah the “muskiness” I got the first few times I tested made me think everyone else was insane for liking it and I put off trying on skin. Took me a year to spring for a decant.
