Amouage Lyric Woman Early Impression & Surprise Unboxing  

Sounds like a great dark rose. 🌹 Interesting thought that the man and woman labels should've been reversed. I've heard that before. Haven't tried the women's version though. Very strong urge to wear a tea scent today. Completely random. 😵‍💫

I recently bought a sealed 50ml MKK from 2006 from Italy. They included a Grace Jones CD.

That T-shirt references Laura Palmer from the Twin Peaks TV series.

To my nose Lyric Man and Woman are correctly named: Man smells like a shaving foam (barbershop rose, clean shaved, elegant, gentleman, reserved, calm, top quality clothes) while Woman is a warm, dark, spicy rose (Monica Bellucci in Malena - beautiful, tragic, longing, distanced; Maya Angelou the poet). Lyric Man is less "lyric" than Lyric Woman. It's like he is lyric but in the frames of masculinity. It's a reserved sensibility, while she is in an emotional turmoil. Her rose is real, dark purple, red almost black, and it is ona verge of death. She is the rose. His rose is smth he puts in the buttonier but might as well take off.

My sample is on the way. I can't believe I haven't tried this yet as I love Lyric Man and heard such great things about the 'Woman' version.

Hi Ramsey! Have you tried Amouage Royal Tobacco? I just picked it up and it's an absolute banger. Also picked up Silver Oud and Reckless Leather, which will def be getting some winter use!

I'm very interested Lyric Woman and Jubilation Woman. I have Lyric Man but it evaporates right off of me in the 90+° heat here in the summer. Cant wait to see how it smells in the fall and 32° or lower soon. If you want to know why so much great vintage perfume is in Italy, just look at the geography to Switzerland. Conversely, if you want to understand the roots of international corruption, Italy and Switzerland are also related funny enough. And then Britain. 🙏

I don't really get much rose in Toy Boy. If anything, it reminds me of Essenza di Zegna (2003) with its sharp grassy smell they say is myrtle. The real myrtle flower smells NOTHING like that of course: it smells bacon or something grilled with vanilla on it.

I own both lyric man and lyric woman modern formulation and the lyric woman is not animalic to me unfortunately but I've never tried the older bottles

I own Lyric woman and love it. I kept hearing how Lyric man is so much better but I got a 8ml decant of it and NO, its nowhere near as good as Lyric woman. I love Amouage, I am now up to 12 bottles. And Serge Lutens I am crazy about, Im now up to 22 bottles but a few are back ups of SL perfumes i love. I need to buy Arabie as well. Beautiful perfume . But he sold out to evil Estée Lauder. I hate what EL does to perfumes . They reformulate and ruin everything. They ruined Tom Fords perfumes. Tom Ford was at the top, why did he sell out. Oh wait, IFRA. Ughh I hate IFRA too.

The shirt says "I killed Laura Palmer" in Italian. Haha.
