Wonderful review Peter. Lesson learned...try on skin! I often spray on paper and if I don't like it I don't even bother to try it on my skin. Crazy! I should know better! Happy belated birthday my scorpio friend 💚
Wonderful review. I know it'll be a long while before you read this comment, but I certainly agree that a lot of the newer Amouage releases are much better in the air. Shame about the osmanthus. I hardly detect it in PdM's Herod.
I get strong vibes of 'Oud for Greatness' structure: spec. Ambroxan, Amberwoods, Evernyl and Ethyl Maltol, the most unique feature is the opening with its spicy-aromatic accords... I much prefer Journey Man for a tobacco done in a Amouage way
I follow your posts with great enthusiasm, for me you are an example! I want to start making perfumes, I'm ready, I've spent a lot of time studying this, I feel it, it's in me! For this, I don't know what kind of authorization and legal training I need. I want to make perfumes independently, at my home. For this I have to graduate from a perfumery or chemistry school, which takes a long time and costs a lot, or making perfumes can legally be part of something else? In my country where I live, Romania, there is no independent perfumery qualification course authorized by the Ministry of Labour, what can I do? Here, the law clearly states that in order to be able to activate, the authorized natural person must have a qualification in the field of activity. To what qualification would this job of manufacturing perfumes fit?
Strange. I get liquorice/anise more than anything else, along with the vanilla smokiness. Then all the resinous & incense notes. I really do like it, though.
I always wondered on how perfume experienced people can compare smells to something trivial like an ashtray. You either have a useless nose or you have zero idea on how skilful people explain scents and aromas. Try to smell something other than an ashtray in your life
@@KiRiiZ I've tried thousands of fragrances know about most perfumery ingredients and have read most of the books on perfumery. Let me teach you something about perfume. Unlike hyped fragrances, most great ones, like this one, are polarized some people like it and others don't like it. And to me, this is a great fragrance but I'm not too fond of it. Fragrance aside, as a health care professional, I tell you that you have some sort of mental disorder that you think everyone should like what you like and give them a hateful comment. Believe me, you need psychiatry medication.
