I saw a tweet that said “the circle of people who think this shouldn’t have been done publicly are the same people who would say wheres is the proof” and I couldn’t agree more

textbook manipulative, gaslighting abusive behavior. controlling all her finances is by far the most terrifying thing because it feels like she has no escape even with her platform. she's so brave exposing him and even doing so live. i just hope she's ok and safe

My close friend was in a similar situation like this, only difference is that she was murdered by her partner. From the outside everyone thought they were a cute couple, and it wasn't until the end that we learned how abusive it was, how her life, privacy, and finances were controlled. She tried to leave by herself and she died for it. This is why I tell people that "just leaving" is not that easy. Leaving is the most dangerous thing you can do, and I hope Amouranth has friends and family who are around her if she makes the step to go. It's so damn important to have people who love you show up so that your abuser will know that you have people with you. Update: Holy shit the victim blaming under my post is horrendous. I hope you don't have a friend or family member go though the same thing. Abuse is not as easy as walking away, support your loved ones in their time of need.

I was in a situation like hers. And... then people asked me why I never spoke about it. But seeing how people treat her now this is exactly what I was terrified of. My own mom told me I deserved it because I kept quiet and didn't tell her sooner. This is why victims stay quiet. Not because it's a stunt or some psychopathic shit you're projecting.

whats scary is how she got such a negative response even with such direct proof (not even just text msgs, but her husband _literally_ yelling at her _on stream_ . they always say "why didn't you speak out sooner?" "it's your fault for not coming forward", but look at the reaction abuse victims get. they're called liars, they're picked apart and attacked for anything and everything. why _would_ you come forward if this is the reaction you get? sometimes it feels like we've made so much progress and then moments like these feel like it's all snatched away. it's an awful thing to be abused, and it's even worse to finally reach out for help and be rejected. im glad so many big youtubers are talking about it at least, and the majority of people support her. im gonna go cry now lol

i grew up with my parents in a relationship almost exactly like this one. i know it doesn’t matter, but i’m so proud for her being brave enough to speak out like this. however, while i’m grateful that she’s raising awareness, i hope that she and her dogs are safe and secured. it’s dangerous to try and speak out.

Having been abused you can just feel the exhaustion in her voice. You hit a certain point that it just takes everything out of you and she’s even past that point. I hope she gets out safely.

Wont lie, the only thing I'd ever heard about Amouranth was bad things and drama, and was prejudiced against her initally. Within a minute of watching this video she had already gained my heartfelt sympathy. This is utterly deplorable and inhuman to treat somone like this, and I truly hope she finds a good way out of this and can heal.

This is so horrific in every standpoint. How can someone treat their SO like that? It’s mind boggling because not only did she have a stalker situation (I think as recent as twitch con please someone quote me on this and if I’m wrong I’m sorry) but then she has to go home. I didn’t expect the call to trigger me like it did. It reminded me of how my mother would scream, deflect, manipulate, etc. before I packed everything and left the second I graduated. I hope she is able to get out of there as soon as possible and is able to use this evidence as proof to his mental instability and gain control of all her assets again. I don’t watch her but I fully support her 100% through all of this.

I think this is a good example of how victim blamers say they want more proof and more evidence, but when provided with evidence, they still cast doubt and hate. It doesn't matter to these people about the evidence, it never has. Their gripe is with the victims, particularly women.

Even her own husband is using her... watching her interviews and stuff, she is a very hard worker. Regardless of what you think is considered work, she puts in the hours, she shows up, and she makes content in many platforms. That's a lot! I feel for her, i hope she finds herself in a better place, without her husband.

My mom was in a domestic abusive relationship with her first husband and I witnessed it as a child, it takes lot to walk away from unfortunate situations like that. First time on this channel, great video, but I clicked on it to say that being in an abusive relationship is horrible. I was in an abusive relationship for 7 years. Ended in 2021. She always manipulated me saying that she was the only one who would love someone like me and that if I left her I would never find someone ever again. I've never been the most confident person in the world, so these words cut deep and I really truly believed it. I believed it for 7 years. I needed therapy and my moms to get me out of it. It was constant fighting, constant "breakups" (we just didn't see each other for about a week or so before making up) and I was never allowed to have any female friends because she thought that I might go behind her back. I was barely even allowed to go anywhere with my friends without her breathing on my neck. She had full access to my phone, my messages, my consoles, everything. Even my bank account to see if I had spent money on anything that I didn't tell her about or that she didn't know of. Once I started realizing that this relationship is not healthy for me and my mental, I tried to get out of it for months on end, and it was a struggle. Once I cut her off and we broke up, she kept messaging me through her main and alt accounts, harassing me constantly, saying that she knows who I'm hanging out and they'll tell them false things about me (such as that I beat her or that I cheated on her many times) to try and ruin any chance I had with someone else. Eventually I switched phones and moved to my moms house in philly and layed low until the start of this year. I've been trying to get into a relationship but I think I need some time to heal. Because whenever I'm talking to someone I'm interested in I fear for the worst. And it's been nothing but disastrous trying to find a balance between my job, my education and my personal life... sorry for the rant. I've just been going through a lot and saying this makes me feel better.

as a former victim of DA, i am so incredibly amazed at how strong she is for not only realizing this is not an okay situation but for sharing it publicly. So many of the things her husband said sounded SO familiar because they really are textbook mental abuser. I hope by going public with everything that she is able to get the help she needs and deserves and is able to start healing from the trauma. seeing that her husband controlled so much of her life, I can’t help but wonder about how much of her business is what she wants to do.

Fast forward a few weeks/months, and most people agree it was fake. She said he agreed to go to therapy once a week to sort out his issues. She has not brought it up again since and acts like it never happened. They aren't getting divorced because the abuse was not real. It was a play to increase her donations and OnlyFans subscribers. And it worked. She was the number 1# streamer for that month, and her OnlyFans subs increased tenfold. Let's hope it doesn't become a trend among female streamers.

as someone who was in a toxic relationship back when I was 10 (I was a victim of a groomer. She was 16 going on 17 at the time), that phone call sent me back to then. He screams like my abuser did. I was shaking the entire time I listened to this. I can't believe that people like this still exist.
