Autotune isn’t a magic wand, you have to be very close on key or the auto tune would sound choppy. There’s a reason why bandlab autotune rappers sound bad😂
This isn’t true at all☠️☠️ it depends on the STRENGTH of the autotune. Obviously trash autotune is harder to use, but if you have a lot of pitch correction, tone quality, and more, it literally can completely CHANGE your voice
@@breezebrown6471she’s correct, if the autotune you use is strong enough, it can completely change your voice😂 obviously we aren’t talking about subpar autotune
What you talking about? Davis personally was showing it to people and they recorded these scenes in parts you can tell they have their reactions chopped
Yeah a lot of people seemed to realize that and just discredit davis. His song was definitely mixed and mastered tho, since it is an official song he released.
7:00 Slight truth to that in some capacity, but I would say it's more of a common misconception. AutoTune only does so much, the performer still has to know how to project their voice, control their timbre, and get at least a little close to the notes for it to catch properly. The engineer definitely did a really amazing job pushing his vocals paired with some manual pitch correction, though, but I think he had a decent performance in-studio.
@@Jsquared2not true and not how autotune works. There’s not one “autotune”. Some are way stronger than others, clearly the more expensive ones. Now if you just howl in the mic like sexy red, then no it won’t help, but if you speak with minimal tone quality and don’t voice track, then it can help ANYONES voice
@@TEEAREE2Xlol there is only one “Auto Tune” created and trademarked by Antares all the other are form of pitch correction. As op said there was clearly a good performance that was recorded or else it wouldn’t sound good. The auto-tune enhances the already good vocal performance by Davis. If it was a bad performance it wouldn’t sound this good even with a lot of auto tune
@@soliddjsome of those bars definitely sounded like something boat would say fr but u right he rhymed stamped, lamp, champ, and vamp no way in hell boat wrote that😭😭😭
I think you lot are used to fake reactions LOL I watched other reactions to this cypher and most of them are being over the top and fake for views. Dee doesn't fake her reactions. Think of how you were when you watched this, probably wasn't jumping around getting hype and doing the most 😂 this is just her genuine reaction
No auto tune is gonna make you sound that good. You have to actually be able to get close enough to that exact key for it to sound as good as it did for Davis
They don't go in the studio together, nor do they hear each other's songs beforehand. Their intial reactions are genuine, but they probably perform it again to get different angles or reactions, etc. The only one that is a musician is Chris. They did a great job.
You do know they don’t go to the studio and record at the same time right? Duke literally recorded his cypher the day before the shoot when he got off stream.
Yall must be kids who also believe pranks are real too lol it's so obvious they are faking those shocked reactions. Doesn't look genuine at all, how do you not see that? 💀
@@LeeLlama-gy1oc what a weird comment, the faces is just to get the viewers engaged & to have the viewers feeling like it was unexpected because nobody expects that from Davis, considering hes like the loner & odd ball of the group & all his other cyphers were terrible so to see him cook up the best verse was shocking and if you watch other reactions people agree
agent: 5/10 (ass, but purposefully so it’s entertaining) duke: 7/10 (literally just future, aight.) fanum: 8.5/10 (lyrically outperformed everyone and was the best rap verse by a MILEEEE.) davis: 9/10 (DAVIS BRYSON TILLER GOTTA START A CAREER IMMEDIATELY. for the record autotune doesn’t automatically make u a beautiful singer, not how that works.) chris: 6/10 ( I think the first part was actually the best part, but the second part ruined it for me, it’s mid to me, and lacks a lot of depth in his actual abilities) kai: 6.5/10 (lowkey mid, ghost written by yachty and mostly just trendy mid ass fr.) Chocolate droppa 100/10 no explanation needed
Theyre not fake reactions tho baby. They’ve mentioned before that they dont hear each others songs until they shoot the video so that the reaction is organic
Definitely are fake reactions☠️☠️ you can’t possibly think grown men are responding to a voice change with 😮 and holding it for a full minute ☠️ so gullible
Lmaoo I’m saying! Gotta be kids saying this who still think Santa is real. This isn’t even the first time they’ve heard Davis sing like this with auto tune either 😂
They record separate they literally all have different schedules they just have to meet up together on important days but they definitely did this type of reaction when Kai and fanum did the drill rap and ik they probably didn’t hear Davis , they all stream Davis probably recorded this while they were streaming
Devil's advocate: Given that it's such a professional production, it's quite possible that they did a rehearsal run, or recorded the cypher in more than one take. Even prior to filming is not out of the realm of possibility that some of them played their verse to the others to get some feedback.
ur auto tune comment is like HELLA false. you can only tweak so much if your off tune ur off tune lmao its gunna sound like ass if someone is tone deaf u will hear the hell out of it still
as a 12 year engineer ill say a big misconception with auto tune is that you can sing whatever into the mic and sound like tory lanez with it. this is far from truth. if your too off key it'll make you sound sloppy and robotic if a lot is applied, or you'll sound like a dying animal with a modest amount. I only heard a modest amount used for davis so even if he's not a great singer, he evidently has enough natural ability to sound like a semi skilled singer with AT applied. (which A LOT of non singers struggle to do). Props to him on making that kind of slapper as a barely casual artist.
I’m ngl DEE there’s a way to finesse the copyright issue, but to upload the video and have continuous instrumentals playing and call it a reaction, at that point was just nun but surround sound, just sum constructive criticism bcuz once I realized the whole vid was like this it’s like what am I watching this for, that or RU-vid just doesn’t fuck w ya channel but yea get on that cuz them instrumentals gon get old and quick
Last years' was better, Davis' track is actually probably my favorite this year out of AMP, but it's a sad day where the best verse came from Kevin Hart 😂😂
This year’s cypher was definitely underwhelming. And the energy definitely wasn’t as high as the previous year. I’m not saying it was bad, just could’ve been better. Agent: His freestyle was very entertaining and that was the goal as you mentioned. I understand you though, after a few listens to Agent’s freestyle the punchlines get more cornier and you wanted something refreshing. Duke: I’m surprised Duke doesn’t get criticized as much for his. His cyphers aren’t fascinating at all. It’s the same freestyle with a couple words switched around. It’s like adding food coloring to water. It wasn’t a bad freestyle, just bland. Fanum: His freestyle was the embodiment of a cypher. Came in with energy, beautiful beat selection, nice lyrics, and overall great performance. It reminded me of Pro Era. His was really unique as well and wasn’t as bland as the others. Davis: He did really well. His singing was really solid and he seems to have found his style. Chris: It was very amusing seeing your reaction to Chris’s cypher. It was almost as if you wanted to just skip it. Chris’s freestyle wasn’t anything special either. He seems to have such great potential. He could’ve definitely chosen a better beat and actually showed his versatility more. He just sounded like a poor man’s Shy Glizzy. Kai Cenat: You can hear the Yatchy influence. He started off really good and drifted off towards the end. His delivery also wasn’t the best either. It was decent. Kevin Hart: It would’ve been a lot better if he actually made a freestyle instead of a predictable comedic situation which kinda fell flat. It was funny….I guess. If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading my comment.
Great comment. I watched it on my own & then I watched other reactions to it. I’ll be honest, it feels like the cyphers are getting progressively more underwhelming each year. 2021 in my opinion is the best cypher overall. 2020 was good nice introduction I enjoyed it, 2021 again really good the best imo, 2022 Kai & Fanum’s verse def carried the whole cypher everyone else (besides Davis) was mid, last year 2023 was mid again tbh everyone’s verse was just aight (Davis was ass tho), now this year 2024 again (besides Davis & Fanum) everyone else was mid & Kevin’s corny & predictably comedic verse capped all that off. I don’t like Chris’s rapping voice imma keep it 💯 that raspy barely audible shit ion really fw it so that stops me from really fw his cyphers but they’re always mid anyways so 🤷🏿♂️ Agent’s Canadian upbringing severely holds him back when it comes to rapping he don’t have the image, swag, authenticity or lyrical ability to be taken seriously that’s why niggas stay clowning him & why he’s reduced to troll/goofy rap that gets old very quickly. Agent to me is the least interesting member of AMP he’s boring & he’s just kinda there if u get what I’m tryna say. I digress tho. Fanum is the best rapper of the group, his cyphers (aside from last year) are solid. I’m not the biggest fan of that type of rap style but he makes it work so ion mind too much. Kai can’t rap fr so his cyphers will always be mid asf. 2022 he got lucky cuz Bronx drill was poppin so he hopped on the wave & it worked especially since he’s from the Bronx. Duke is basically a poor man’s Future or Moneybagg Yo which is why he SOUNDS good but his actual VERSES are mid cuz he does the bare minimum. He has the voice, image & persona of a rapper but he don’t wanna rap fr & u can tell by his cyphers. Davis is mid too rapping just isn’t for him. I’ll give him credit for being different & showing off his vocals but let’s be honest, we didn’t come to hear a nigga sing his heart out lmao we tryna hear some bars it defeats the whole point of a cypher. Him choosing the singing route comes off as “I give up” in the sense of rapping ain’t working for me & I’m tired of niggas clowning me so imma just sing lol idk I feel some typa way about that. Last thing I’ll say, I do agree that it was “too professional”, too overproduced & dramatic for no reason, I get they’ve elevated but they did all that just for everyone (besides Fanum) to have a mid ass cypher. I don’t count Davis cuz he cheated lmao. The energy was def not there compared to previous cyphers. Hopefully next year they outperform & break this gradual decline they’re in. Sorry for this long ass comment I just had a lot to say.
most of them didn’t record their cypher until the day before it was shot so a lot of em they didn’t hear. I think Davis the only one who did his in advance.
I’m literally up watching all the reactions that all the RU-vidrs put up and I come at this platform and she kinda like down plays Davis 🤔 this was a horrible review
I don’t know if Davis used full on autotune, maybe just a hint of pit correction, which you also do need to be able to hold a note to be able to use properly😂😂
This cypher made Kevin look like he’s going through a midlife crisis 😂😂😂 obviously he ain’t serious n the shit is meant to be hilarious but lmaoo you can’t deny it
Agent acknowledges that he's not suited to rapping for real, so he does comedic rap. and yeah, there's a difference between auto-tune and pitch correction. Davis still had to sing well. haha
I’m not sure if they still doing the same process but usually everyone have their own private recording session and they all listen together the day of the recording. So ion think any of dem heard Davies part.
