AmpleMetal Eclipse Review and Demo (ESP Eclipse I VST) 

That sounded great!! I've been looking for a keyboard driven hard rock guitar sound and you delivered!! Excellent review!! Great plug-in!

With some pré EQ. Compress, amp Sim and some post eq and compress, it's possible to make it sound good and can be useful if you're a producer, especially because you can write what you want to be in the music, especially riffs and power chords. The leads arent that expressive, so i think playing arppegios would fit that.

Nicely done. Though the technology has improved, I find the virtual electric guitars not quite there yet as far as realism. Basses and to a lesser extent acoustic guitars, gotten further along. But keyboards in recent years have gotten so close that realism is no longer as an issue IMHO.

Thinking of picking this up or possibly Shreddage I’m impressed with how good it was even 6 years ago! I recently finally got Omnisphere and I’m loving the guitar sounds that it has(it has the same velocity-sensitive articulations). I play guitar but I also really enjoy taking my laptop into the library for a while and I think some guitar plugins can really take that experience to the next level.

I was a little disappointed with the plugin till I got to the end. Awesome job with that song. I actually have an ESP Eclipse and the plug in is close enough I'd probably use this to double my guitar sound. It seems like it'd be a bit too much work to add all the dynamics on an album as the main guitar, though.

Playing Logic's stock electric guitar in disguise was a smart move to make the difference b/w them more prominent

"I cant play metal" ..Proceeds to be metal as fuck..

something I noticed that real lpc shines on. its the capo slide movement. When you are soloing in high notes it sounds fake due to the samples coming out doesn't have the upper neck effect. I just noticed that in the first notes you played really high on the neck.

I don't understand why you need a further extra plug in ( Amplitude ) in order to make it sound like a metal guitar: since the product is termed "Metal", doesn't it come with amp effects of it's own to achieve that end??

Couldn't get on with the Amplitube plugin, maybe because I had just the demo version. I use the Boogex VST plugin for Guitar Amp simulation, it sounds amazing and above all it's totally free!

I dont know, or perhaps I dont know how to use this plugin. I bought it too, but its not what I was expecting, I bought all the amplesound products and I love them all 100% but this "Metal Eclipse" I dont feel it ay all. Or perhaps I just need more time with it. And ey you always keep impressing me with your creativity in music and your playing skills!!!! Keep it up! I AM YOUR BIG FAN!

I have a question...you know ive got Guitar Rig 5 and TH2 both ... but they dont sound good with ample guitars as they do with real guitars..especially when i want a clean sound out of them...is amplitube better? or its just some settings im missing except right amp setup and cab?...i mostly need clean sounds and different kind of it...with AGF AGP AGG..Thanks.

Great review! Only problem when soloing... the time-between-notes on a keyboard rarely matches string-to-string timing unless you record MIDI and dick around with it till your brain aches--or use a mode where you're at the mercy of the programmer.

Hello can you do a video or point me to a video that explains guitar lead solo techniques on keyboard like pitch wheel bends and modulating effects to make it sound like a soulful lead.

I bought this plugin 2 days ago. Seems like Best Services.de (now that they are out of business practically) and Ample Sound are not on the same page and customer support for getting Ample Sound to acknowledge that I did purchase this is an arduous task to say the least. Anyway no where on the Best Services sight did it mention that I would need other plugins to make this sound like anything close to the demos on it. I wanted out of the box, plug it in, and go with just having to tweak a bit here and there. Now I have to purchase Guitar Rig 5 at least to get a metal sound. Anyway, I think your video here was very helpful in that it led me to this conclusion! You also do have viable fingering technique for playing guitar on keys. Good job!

nice vid... it would sound a lot more realistic if you harmonize the way a guitarist would, instead of piano voicing... like for example, don't go down beyond the low E.... Ample Metal Eclipse allows you to do that, but MusicLab's Real Guitars have foolproof features which won't allow you to go beyond the natural range of a guitar. your reviews are very helpful. Still amplitube souns like a toy to me. I think Guitar Rig is better, And if you get A good Impulse Response cab and load into Guitar Rig it sounds really really realistic. And EzMix2 have excelent guitar efxs but you need to install too much plugins to get a descent number of cabs and sound. Thanks for the video

Hi there! Could you help me? I cant get strum mode to work. When ever i press any of the keys all i get is fret noise. I also can not start on just 1 - 12. I start on 13 and up. And if i try and press a key while i have 1-12 up it just goes back to 13 and up. Do you know why this might be? Am i missing something super obvious lol

It sounds nice. But I'm not totally sold on the lead guitar.... I'm sorry. Maybe the latest version has new samples and annotations that sounds more authentic. It would be sweet to have a sample that includes a mic and amp... Till then I'll just keep employing session guitarist 🤟🏾

Really hard to evaluate on a so general video. The guitars sounds ok, but there is absolutely no dynamics in the demo song wich makes it sound kinda unnatural. It has way too much effect on and sounds like someone recording a guitar with absolutely no idea how to use a compressor. Imo there is much better guitar plugins available on the market today.

nice, work, but it is still not powerful enough, i've achieved better sounding mix using shreddage 2 from impactsoundworks, using almost the same stuff as you, Amplitube 4 & Superior drummer... if you're interested i can send it over to you via mp.

Still makes that one single mistake all guitar plugin manufacturers makes that makes it sound like a keyboard. If there's any guitar plugin designers who are serious enough to want to fix that, contact me and I'll tell you how. Can't believe anybody hasn't figured it out yet.

Many sounds are out of tune or harmonics are off as well. I regularly request guitarists to retune their intruments or go to a guitar tech when this appears in the studio. Not for me. Never.
