I found this board in the street, I recognized it was an amplifier so I took it and check what it was, it belong to a PC sold system form Logitech, more specific a subwoofer. So after some analysis we are going to decode how it works and see if we can make it work with out its original speakers and learn how to do the same for other equipments.

So I made this system Bluetooth a couple of days ago. I’ve had it for years n love it. Got tired of the headphone jack. So I tied in to the left/right inputs that u pointed. Everything works fine except the volume knob. Does yours work?

The volumen know in mine does not work, I have to regulate de input from the source, like the volume in the phone. Thanks for sharing

Hello, thanks for the video! I have a full set of x-220 but the other speaker is mute. I'm trying to find out what's wrong, is it the speaker itself or something on the PCB. Could you elaborate a bit, when you connected the speakers, where did you connect the speaker wires? Red wires go to respective audio outputs on the PCB but where did you connect the black (ground) wires on the PCB? Which did you use as the ground? The ground pin of the 9-pin connector?

Identify the 2 TDA7377 chips, one is for the subwoofer and one for the 2 speakers, the one for the subwoofer is easily recognizable because it has the 2 wires for the subwoofer just besides the chip. The other chip has 2 thick wires coming out, one white and one yellow, those are left and right (not sure which one is which) and the group is takes from the same electrical ground. Here I leave you with another video where I use this very same amplifier to be use as an car audio amplifier. Hope it is clearer there. Good luck.

I am glad for the video but I don't now if you realize you are mixing up you DC connections at 8:12 you showed connections on the capacitors the at 8:58 you showed connections on the red and green wire which is another location on the bord....so which is it? I thin I would check an electrician to test before I solder anything yes....
@Letsdosomethinguseful
@Letsdosomethinguseful 3 года назад
Wasn't because at 8:58 the board is backwards? one is the down side and the other the upper side? Thank you for your comment.

Hi there I have X230 system and it suddenly stopped working. I saw supply to speakers, checked transformer working, getting 13Vdc after the rectifier bridge also checked TDA7377 however could not figure out what's wrong with it. Do you have any further suggestions?
@Letsdosomethinguseful
@Letsdosomethinguseful 4 года назад
look for the input signal, follow it to the TDA, if the TDA is receiving the sound signal correctly, then the problem could be the TDA, if not, look for the pre amplifier, it has to be a operational amplifier IC, check if that is receiving the input signal and outputting it correctly.

Hey, I have a very similar Logitech X-230 set - 2 satellites (one with controls), a subwoofer and an amplifier - you know it. It is pretty old and I haven't used it in years, heck, I even found a rubber ball inside the sub. I hooked it up on my computer, the satellite with the controls didn't produce any sound, and the other one produced a very faint one. I checked the speakers themselves with a multimeter and they show nominal results. I haven't noticed anything wrong with the amplifier as well - I'm guessing there is something wrong with the controls on the first satellite. Is it possible to just straight up connect the speakers to the amplifier, or is it more complicated than that? I would also want to be able to put a 3.5mm audio cable to connect it to my PC, phone etc.

Fist of all, be carefull because it uses 120 volts ac and could kill you, do not attempt to disassemble the subwoofer if you don't have knowledge on how to dial with 120/240 volts ac. Well, basically, you can just strip everything from your current system and leave it like I found this one in the video and follow it from there. Assuming the amplifier is working. If you cleaned the potentiometers and still having issues, I would disassemble it and connected it as I did in this video. Regards and good luck.

Hey I have one but I'm struggling to figure out the sub audio input, I want to use the existing connector on the amp without touching the board, I have power and feedback noise but I have no clue what pins go to the input, I dont have the side speakers I just want to utilize the sub
@Letsdosomethinguseful
@Letsdosomethinguseful 3 года назад
The subwoofer does not have its own audio input, at least in this model. It has an internal active crossover and from there it receives the Left and right channels and breaks it down to the filtered L and R and Sub. Look for the amplifier IC, check it model number and search for it on internet, it should give you the data sheet so you can trace the inputs. Regards.

Hi, I have a similar logitech s-220 and the satellite speakers stop working, subwoofer sounds ok, if I connect a headphone in the headphones output it sounds fine, but if connect hoeadphones into the speakers output it doesn't work, i checked visually the capacitors and looks fine, any clue?
@Letsdosomethinguseful
@Letsdosomethinguseful 4 года назад
Are the speakers fine? did you test them? Not sure if the headphones are feed with the same amplifier as the speakers, could be that headphones are feed by the op-amps. but test the speakers and connections, if they are fine, could be a problem in the amplifier IC.
@alekuy

@@Letsdosomethinguseful I have tested the speakers connected to my laptop and sound low, I suppose is because satellite speakers don't have amplifier, but when are connected to the s-220 speakers output doesn't sound at all

No, I connected the 12 volts supply directly into the board. I installed this board into a mazda with a burn out amplifier so it is connected to the ACC and only turns on when you put your car in accessory mode. Sadly it is in spanish, but at least there are diagrams and the image of how I install it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QshRwJfErtQ.html
