Amputee gives her perspective and points out why faith healing can be problematic for the disability community. Come learn what not to say to an amputee, and what can be helpful to say instead!
Welcome! One Footed Phoenix is the name I gave myself just before my bellow the knee left side amputation. We talk about mental health, amputation, and faith here. Thanks for coming over to check out my story!

The Apostle Paul had something that he asked God to remove on multiple occasions. God's only response was to remind Paul that God's grace was enough to help him endure and that God's strength is magnified in our weakness. We bow to God's sovereign will for our lives. God can and does use us just as we are as we submit to Him and trust Him. There will always be those who don't understand and that's okay. You're doing a great job encouraging others and bringing awareness to CRPS, amputee life, disability, faith and so much more. Continue to be a light. All the best to you from a fellow (LAK) amputee and woman of faith.

Great video! I'd also say that health pertains to the whole person -- body _and_ soul. One can be physically healthy but spiritually very sick, and vice versa. I believe God is faithful to heal, but only He knows what sort of healing each person most needs at a particular time to fulfill his/her unique calling in life. It may be physical, but it may be mental, emotional, and/or spiritual.

I'm sorry you received such hurtful comments. 💙 Life would be so much better if everyone practiced Christ-like kindness and empathy.

I mean I think I did a pretty good job of saying EXUSE YOU?! 😂 I’m the one who got the last laugh by turning it into a long form video lol!

Faith is important. Though, not all of us have "faith" in the same things. In my opinion, you're doing well and helping individuals who may be struggling. My anecdotal experience is that there is no shortage of cruel people in this world. Take care and keep your faith.

@@bernardflint9338 there will always be opposition to face. But, that opposition often really does help us become better people if we let it do that. I’m not saying it’s all happy sunshine all the time though. Disabled life has a lot of ups and downs. Both are normal things to experience!

I appreciate views from others who have different beliefs :) just don’t be rude about it & we have a worthwhile discussion and better understanding of one another

@@onefootedphoenix I oppose to what one can see, Moses was in the desert for 40 years after he got out of Egypt.
