Last summer while passing through Venice on a couple Fridays I ran into one the diesels collecting the automated litter bins (ALBs). However, in addition to the standard bins the city uses now a couple homeless-strewn streets have a bunch of the city's classic mesh baskets plopped down to combat the crazy amount of trash that's dumped on those streets. These baskets were phased out for the most part quite awhile ago now so it's cool to see some get some use again. It was also cool to film one of the diesels in a classic Westside area-many have been sent to other areas of the city since this was filmed. This route is now collected by truck 36179 from the North Central yard a few days a week.
