Kamoke also had Hindus and Sikhs killed on 16 August 1947, without provocation and frequent train killings even before 24 Sept 1947, and had Hindu and Sikh women abduction. If you still want to visit, see and PLEASE research what Nizamabadi Lohaars (29 KM north of this city) did to trains, 100% without provocation, driver who was from Lohaar community itself would stop the trains in collaboration with the Lohaars to slaughter and loot. These Lohaars were supplying weapons - swords and daggers to Muslim League armoury way months any violence happened, secretly through train wagons, had knowledge of manufacturing carbines. Some of the worst atrocities happened in this distict, especially post August 15, 1947. Thats because of these Nizamabadi Lohaars and most trains passed from here, meaning most trains were looted, that became their regular business. If you ever visit, visualise how our relationship with this city had ended, not how we lived. We owned two thirds of this city, banking, business, monuments, paid most taxes etc.
