Maar er staat "Onderzoek: Stadsarchief Amsterdam." Dit wekt minstens de suggestie dat het vliegveld (gedeeltelijk) in Amsterdam ligt. Dat niet alleen. Met de naam "Amsterdam Airport Schiphol" wek je ook de indruk dat je je in Amsterdam bevindt wanneer je op dat vliegveld bent. Hoewel ik daar wel begrip voor heb.

@@davehagen2540 Als je hem stilzet op 2.31 (1975) zie je links onderin beeld baan 36C staan In 1975 had je nog maar 2 Noord-Zuid parallelbanen. (Zwanenburg en Aalsmeerbaan. De 01L en de 01R De Zwanerburgbaan werd pas de 36C toen de Polderbaan actief werd. Dan heb je 3 banen en dan is er pas sprake van een (C)enterbaan. Maar het blijft een waanzinnige mooie animatie. Alle lof voor de maker(s)
And the 50's tower is still there at Schiphol east. It's used for events and there is a restaurant at the ground floor. I believe they did move it a couple hundred meters but it's still close to the original location.
if you didn't realise, it was bombed. They rebuilt the tower a little off the original place for events, and there's a full copy in Aviodrome, Lelystad. :)
I can still remember when i was a kid listening to the letters changing on the departure board. It was so loud but it also meant for me the beginning of holidays : )
I believe this animation focusses solely on the passenger side of Schiphol? The cargo aprons (Romeo Sierra) seem to be missing entirely as well as most of the "Cityhopper" platform (Bravo) and several other platforms used for de-icing or remote parking (Papa, Victor).
Dan snap je waarom de Polderbaan de Polderbaan heet ;), mooi en duidelijk, grappig dat schiphol langs een der hoger gelegen polderringvaarten is begonnen.
Ik heb met Schiphol een soort haat-liefde relatie. Ik kan het (diepe gerommel) lawaai op de achtergrond en de kerosine stank haten. Maar blijf heel vaak even staan als er weer een vliegtuig de weg kruist op weg naar de polderbaan. Of toch even kijken op het panorama terras als mijn trein er nog niet is......

I understand; you prefer seeing some 50 passenger jets landing, loading and unloading on grass, with 15000 cars parked in the mud and no facilities for luggage handling. You can't have one without the other....

witte vlek? eerder zwarte wolk. Het zou echt niet misstaan hebben om al de gebouwen in puin te hebben weergegeven in het begin van het 1945 filmpje. Het lijkt wel of investeerders en schoolkinderen WW2 moeten vergeten...tssk.
Thank you for the video, it is very nice and it was intresting to see every single piece constructed bit by bit! I have once visited Shiphol airport and my journey went very well. Even though I have been there, I didnt know that there where canal so close to airport.
Prachtig gemaakt. Maar ze moeten Schiphol maar eens sluiten en een nieuw vliegveld bouwen voor Amsterdam en omgeving. De Flevo Polder lijkt me een mooie centrale plek voor Nl
@ROBLOX Namo I don't live in the Netherlands.. I have used the airport from Amsterdam and it was fine! But for transferring its a hassle and not worth it..
