Been there, had a good time - beautiful monuments, great atmosphere, nice people, but extremely overrated as a whole. Rome was the only major Western European city that, for me, lived up to expectations (I’m a history nerd - so this is obviously subjective). I would suggest Central and Eastern Europe to anybody who wants to explore that continent. Stick to Asia for better value, food, biodiversity, traditions, friendlier/warmer locals.

He even happily remark how he was reprimanded by the Secretary regarding some instances they allowed overlimiting the number of tourist coming in. He shrug it of saying what can they do about it, it's not like we can stop people from coming.

Yes, due to post pandemic recovery, people stuck at home for a long time have pent-up demand for travel, and so there's.a tourist explosion in many places. Here in Chiang Mai, it was a huge shock to suddenly have lots of tourists...I know it's good for the economy, but I miss the quiet and beautiful natural environment the past couple of years. So many events going on all the time that it's hard to find a normal day to just work, shop, clean, etc. The main problem about tourism in general is that it is based on something that is inherently unethical and unsustainable: UNEQUAL FOREIGN EXCHANGE RATES and PEOPLE STAYING SHORT TERM IN A PLACE AND SPENDING MUCH MORE BECAUSE THEY DON'T KNOW LOCAL PRICES. The collapse of tourism during the pandemic (with our Night Bazaar shutting down and Thapae Road filled with homeless people) shows that a city or country should not depend on it as its main or only source of income...it needs to have other backup industries. The Internet has also made travel much less exciting and discovery-oriented than it used to be...more about showing off and less about new experiences. I was so interested to visit so many countries when I was younger, but now, because I can talk with people around the world using Zoom and watch videos on RU-vid of any place, I have little interest to travel anymore. With the amount of travel now, it's easy to meet people of many cultures while staying in one place and have experiences with those cultures just as intense as if you went to the country...for example, here in Chiang Mai, I've been able to work with scholarship students from. Bangladesh, Pakistan, China, Comoros, and Eritrea, countries I wouldn't want to go and stay in to work due to political problems and restrictions on the freedom of females there, but I've been able to learn so much about their cultures. Even living in Kuala Lumpur, I was able to teach Koreans, people from the Middle East, and people from the former USSR, and shared an apartment with Nigerians, and learnt so much about traditional Chinese culture (many of it which no longer exists in China) through Chinese friends and apartment mates and attending Chinese festivals and funerals. So a lot of tourism now is just unnecessary and pointless, but maybe more important in terms of seeing different natural environments than for cultural reasons.

I wish palki took up the issue of over tourism in the hills of our own country. Once pristine untouched hills are now garbage landfills, water n soft drink bottles everywhere, empty food packets and just about everything that can be thrown is thrown. On top of that the stress on the fragile infrastructure is so heavy that the local civic bodies cannot cope. The impact of recent flooding in Manali, uttrakhand and Ladakh was a result of unplanned town planning arising out of greed to build hotels, restaurants, cafe and other tourist attractions on every inch of the land available.

This is true in case of tourists visiting Western Ghats in Karnataka and polluting the pristine natural forests in the name of trekking and making reels for Instagram. Due to unregulated tourism the local people are bearing the burnt. Govt should regulate the private trekking firms and issue guidelines and quotas for number of people visiting these places. It’s really sad to see educated people polluting the environment and they live in Metro cities like Bengaluru and least bothered about the pollution they are causing.

Palki you are always ahead of others and discussing on topics of relevance to society and eco system. Netherlands and European countries are always eco friendly and cares for their people and environment. While every country is trying to promote tourism as major source of revenue, over crowded tourist destination and irresponsible tourists behaviour destroying the nature and eco system for momentary pleasures are negating the beauty and aesthetic charm on the tourist destinations and corrupting the locals as well as destroying the young generation with immoral activities and drug menace. Indian tourism destinations are already showing the I'll effect of over crowded tourism and natural calamities because of the infrastructure development due to seasonal demands. Religious places have become the hot spot for all immoral activities in the name of spiritual tourism. Even going to our neighbouring temples on weekend is a nightmare and we avoid going due to tourist over crowd and behaviour against local sentiments. Temples should restrict the number of tourists and reckless offering and corrupting the temple staffs for selfish purpose of dharsan and Prasad. Responsible citizen should discourage tourists spending exorbitantly on hotels and offering in temples

Jesus son of Mary, peace be upon him, will descend in Syria on the wings of two angels, his face dripping water as if he had just come out of the shower, his breath will reach the tips of his fingers, any person who enters into the space of his breath will die immediately except for Muslims, he will kill the pig and break the cross and then pray in Al-Aqsa Mosque with Muslims, Then he calls the Christians to convert to Islam, He also recommended them before (in the Gospel of Barnabas) to believe in Muhammad, the Messenger of God peace be upon him.[61:6] And when Jesus son of Mary said: O Children of Israel! Lo! I am the messenger of Allah unto you, confirming that which was (revealed) before me in the Torah, and bringing good tidings of a messenger who cometh after me, whose name is the Praised One. Yet when he hath come unto them with clear proofs, they say: This is mere magic. [61:7] And who doeth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie against Allah when he is summoned unto Al-Islam ? And Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk. [61:8] Fain would they put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light however much the disbelievers are averse. [61:9] He it is Who hath sent His messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth, that He may make it conqueror of all religion however much idolaters may be averse. ~

Argue why camera modes like Bokeh mode can be dangerous to the environment because they are blurring out the environment and focusing just on the people? State nothing else Using camera modes like Bokeh, which emphasize the subject by blurring out the background, can be argued as potentially detrimental to the environment for the following reasons: 1. **Lack of Environmental Awareness**: By consistently blurring out natural surroundings, these modes may contribute to a collective desensitization, where viewers become less aware or appreciative of the environmental details. This reduced environmental consciousness could lead to decreased efforts in conservation and preservation. 2. **Missed Opportunities for Environmental Education**: Photographs have the power to educate and inspire. By blurring out nature, opportunities to showcase the beauty, intricacy, or fragility of our environment are lost. These missed opportunities can hinder environmental education and advocacy efforts. 3. **Prioritizing Humans Over Environment**: Continual use of such modes can subtly reinforce anthropocentric views, suggesting that only humans or man-made objects are worth being the focus. This might further entrench the idea that the environment is merely a backdrop rather than an essential entity deserving attention and care. 4. **Lost Sense of Place**: An environment tells a story about a location's ecology, history, and culture. By consistently blurring it out, we might be erasing the significance of place, leading to a generic understanding of our world, which can reduce the urgency to protect unique ecosystems. ChatGPT

Over turism is bad for any country. I,m not against Turism at ALL but it should be a limited number of people to visit each year... Exemple : South of Portugal is suffering a severe drought due the climate change...and also due the severe drought Around the Mediterranean ... There is many golf ⛳ camps in Algarve south Portugal.. Which consume brutal amounts of water 🌊 to irrigate them... Those spaces are our land to plant iur food, and we need the water to irrigate and grow our crops. Massive turism is changing our land not for the better... I don't care if they are saying that Turism is good for economy. It is....and it isn't... Humans need food and water first. Not golf course... Its a Lock of wisdom to build those golf courses in a small country with limited sources...
