I lived in Leiden for 2 years and what I miss the most are fries with mayo, onions and saté sauce T_T. This is nearly impossible to find a spot in Paris doing that and with the same taste T_T. Also Kaassoufflé! I miss the Netherlands so much ❤️🇳🇱 This country will forever be in my heart!

The oliebollen usually are season bound. Especially now with christmas and new years coming up. They are mostly eaten during new years eve (december 31st). Oh and the white powder is powdered sugar.

@@cinemaabroadnutella is a tourist thing. It’s 1 oliebol, 2 oliebollen 😊 originally plain or with raisins and always with powdered sugar. I really don’t get the Nutella hype

I stayed at dutch design hotel vondelpark..its a nice boutique hotel. 35 min walk from city center 15 min bike ride.

Frikandelln from the wall. Or kroketten. Go to an Indonesian rice table for sate you will never forget. There's a spectacular Portuguese restaurant on Damrak. Boschebols, for a sweet. And herring, raw, either straight from your hand or on a bun. Dutch sushi!

Putting Nutella on everything, Fabel fries and van Wonderen Stroopwafels (and paying €10,- for them) has become a tiktok/RU-vid/ tourist thing. btw. Why do RU-vidrs/Tiktokkers always do exactly the same thing?
