Considering Best Automatic Car for your Need. Know key Differences with Problems in CVT Automatic, DCT, AMT Auto Gear Shift, IVT and Torque Converter Transmission in Layman Terms to choose best car for your need
I have recently moved to cvt from driving manual for over 91000 km over a period of 5 years. Chose cvt because I had to drive in a bumper to bumper traffic on a daily basis and driving mt car in such a condition was too much of a stress. CVT has solved that problem. Also, as I drive with very light right foot, I am getting better mileage too.
Your are very knowledgeable, frank and very good in explaining things. I am into driving since 20 years but you made me learn something new every time.
Never seen such brilliant explanation from any other Indian so called auto vloggers or car gurus. Aapka knowledge jhalakta hai aapki baato me. You deserve much more views and likes. I have a request, make a video on the new Ford Endeavour 10 speed automatic transmission. I believe it is first of its kind for a Ford car.

Moral of the Story - Stick to Manual and enjoy the drive. Automatic will feel like sitting on a four wheel Honda Activa - so boring. Sticking to my Manual Transmission. The best channel on Cars!
Great info. I drive a Vento TSI petrol automatic. I religiously follow the idle at start and stop protocol. The car is a 2015 model, so far done 50k km. Brilliant car. No problems at all. Phenomenal pick up. S mode on the highway, will put a grin on your face, without hardly any drop in mileage, but great acceleration. Great mileage , 17-20 on the highway, and 12-13 in city. DONT COMPARE MILEAGE of DCT with other automatic cars, that like comparing apples and amla. Performance is at an awesome level. Simplest way to convert an ignorant "average kya" person, is just hand him the keys to your DCT car. He will go back and *KICK* his manual/ AMT/ CVT car and go into deep depression!! Never had a DCT problem, once or twice, it might jerk violently especially when coming down hill at about 25 kmph, and braking for a speed breaker. Now that I know this, I make it a point to gradually press the brake ,well before in anticipation of the speed breaker on a slope.
Hey Danny! I have the same car, It is a joy to drive. Please elaborate on the idle at start and stop protocol. I put the lever to neutral when stopped at signals. Anything more?
@@ravipeter9280 EVERY time I start the car ,when cold, I allow it to idle till the rpm comes down to around 900. Then gradually accelerate. Also especially after a long drive, before turning off the engine, I idle it for nearly a minute, and then switch off. Regarding stopping in traffic, I firmly press the foot brake. Very rarely ,do I put it in neutral. I am given to understand, that modern DSG gear boxes ,will not be harmed when this is done . The site www.team-bhp.com is a great resource for information regarding Polo and Vento DSG automatic cars.
I found you are the only one among the lot to share honest & unbiased review. Maybe aap passionate ho aur aap BIKAAV nahi ho. Salute hai boss. Loved your VDO on all the available types auto transmissions. As a friend I would appreciate you to make use of word *CBI = चुटिया बनाने का Idea* I have be using for lot many years in my friend group. इसे बेहतर एक word का अच्छा कोई defination नहीं हो सकता है. 😜😝🤣
A4- DCT -2010model ( 8speed ) Q3- Torque converter -2015- ( 6speed ) i10- TC - 2012- ( 4 speed ) Never faced any problems in any , since years. DCT shall be frm a reliable brand , and life goes smooth.
Thanks sir..your reviews are just straight and unbiased. Other reviews don't become too harsh to any car/brand . Thanks keep doing it. Don't get biased ever.. your viewers are more important than anything else.m
even i hv jazz vx cvt...how about the pickup?? mine is good....but sometimes feel vw polo gt tsi would have been fine..but due to rear space i bought jazz ...
Bhai tum best ho in clarifying doubts. Very easy to understand and engaging for people who want to learn about automobiles. Good job man, mycarhelpline my thumbs up!
Very good explanation sir ji, I was confused inbetween these transmissions but you cleared all my doubts. I criticised you in one of your video and you responded with a good though. Thankyou keep up the good work😄
I have Honda city cvt since mid 2017...till date no problems as I drive accordingly no sudden acceleration and no change of gear till car comes to a complete stop.. Mileage over 20 on highways.. And above 13-16 on city and it keeps increasing if you drive reading the instant fuel gauge with light right foot
In DSG you dont know when it turn it gear you never feel when it change gear, but my DSG failed in 85000km n 6 year in vw t5, however company change mechatronic free of cost as good will gesture.
I know amt cars have jerks but i still love my tata tiago amt , jerks mostly 1st and 2nd gear me jyada feel hotey hain ya stop and go traffic me jab aap hard acceleration karte hain, otherwise normal start karo toh smooth chalti hai. Agar aap manual mode me drive karo toh jerks feel nahi hote. Also if u drive in sports mode in tiago i say it's best among the segment. Maza aa jata hai sports mode me. I tried it on Delhi flyover and love its steering control over high speed. High speed pe toh steering hard ho jata hai. Mere toh do hi preference hai amt ya manual. I drive both type of cars. mere paas tiago (petrol amt) ke alawa creta (1.6 Diesel manual) and Xcent ( petrol manual ) bhi hai so i can tell u the difference between the driveability.
Nexon amt is only amt with hill assist prevent rolling back in hill and creep function.Amt maintenance cost is 13-15k.Amt is slightly jerky but good for city traffic.Dual transmission is smooth not jerky but gives 1-1.5lakh ruppies jerk or jhatka one time.My friend Etios Automatic two times break down in 17k km in Faridabad. From 3 months car lying in Service centre complaints send to Toyota Japan alternate car provide but not solved by Toyota India.
I always watch your video before buying any new car. You advice is very reliable. You are amazing in detailing things. I am confused between creta and seltos looking for ur advice
Initially I was sceptical with your channel. Just another channel who will say same old stuff in a different way.but then you come up with cars no one talks about and as you a have rightly stated they are really good cars. All I can say keep up the good work and I might just subscribe to your channel.
Very good review abs update for people like us who just blindly go ahead and buy cars without understanding any technical aspect of the core components involved . Well done on this video . Thanks
@punaki sankar adhikari update your knowledge, try to drive DCT/DSG with paddle shifters transmission system car those are real fun to drive cars. That's the reason why all premium car are only available in automatic transmission.
@@chaitanyakiran its not point of knowledge, I feel. He says there is nothing like old school MT, thats correct as far as real drivers feel, that doesnt mean other concepts are wrong. Am I right?
Brother cvt in my honda city 2019 vtec is very nice more u revv more it gives performance it had beated verna petrol auto 2018 in drag race. There is rubber band effect but it is well contained by honda in comparison of any other company's CVT but dct is best .
I rented hondacity vcvt recently and enjoyed the easy driving for 465kms. Never used paddle shift. Droved at a speed Around 60 - 90km/h. No revving. It was smooth. But against my expectation the mileage I got was only 12.5kmpl. Why? The company claims around 18kmpl. So huge difference. Can you explain why this short fall?

He sounded like "Anu Malik" to me in the beginning. Now I'm used to his voice. In terms of quality of information, this channel has some real useful stuff for a beginner like me.
Good info so far. But any more light on the kind of Automatic engines used in the higher budget cars, i.e. BMW, Mercs, and above would be quite insightful. Thanks.
DCT is also just AMT. It is very complicated and most unreliable technology. That is the reason top brands like BMW uses Torque converter automatics. Torque converter automatics are very fast and more reliable. Hyundai DCT is not same as DCT used in sports cars like ferrari. Hyundai used DCT is in older generation cars and it was worst transmission. So they stopped using it for few years. Now they brought back mith minor modifications.
DCT is 20 times complicated than AMT. AMT is jugaad. DCT is not suited for India traffic conditions. It costs 4 times more than an AMT. DCT is costly as it has 2 clutches.
sir , good afternoon . I am loooking forward to purchase BREEZA for my DOMESTIC requirement . It would be primarily driven in the city of Kolkata by both me / my dad or sometimes by CHAUFFEUR . I would request to kindly advise whether its advisable to go for the TOP notch automatic variant or stop at ZXI+ MT 1.5L . The financial part is not a constraint but at the same time i do not wish to uselessly waste the HARD EARNED money . I had been following your channel for a year and your no-nonsence approach towards the industry makes me a good follower of yours . looking forward for your valuable comment .
