The AMT Electronics Legend amps O2 gives you 3 outputs to cater for nearly every application imaginable, serious high-gain tones and gorgeous cleans (effectively 2 channel), 9-12V, 3 band EQ, Buffer, military strength build and plenty - PLENTY - of rock attitude. modcraft13 If your amp has an effects loop, I'd use a simple line selector like the Boss LS2 and put the send from the selector into the front input of the amp, with the send from the amp's effects loop (which is just the preamp signal) into the return of the selector. Put that near the start of your signal chain, after all "normal" distortion pedals, and you can switch the amp's preamp in and out of the signal chain as you wish. Then just put the O2 anywhere else in the chain and use its footswitch to switch it in and out of the signal chain. Finally, put all other effects after these and send the final output to the return of the amp's effects loop (this goes to the poweramp). You could of course build an alternative to the LS2 for this pretty easily with four jack inputs and a toggle switch.

Yeah, you get the cool honk of two things - the V30 and the SM57. That and the fact that the Legend amp's are actually great preamps; couple that with the Fender's fine output section and... Agreed. :)

I'm not sure to be honest, they have so much gain on tap I haven't even contemplated putting more gain in front of them. I'll have to experiment and get back to you. I can tell you, that, that their 'clean' brother - the F1 - handles pedals beautifully and I've used it on many occasions in place of my amp. The clean channel on these babies is almost identical so I'm guessing they're probably great as well in that department.

Still sounds pretty Marshall-y. Does t sound anything like your typical fuzzy OR or AD? Does it have more or less gain than the M2?

Nice sound and demo. Questions : 1. if you don't mind explaining each of the 3 outputs, what are they for? 2. To switch from clean to overdrive channel you just hit the main on/off button on the pedal? So if the pedal is disengaged the clean channel is functioning? :\ *confuse* Thank you sir.

don't turn that clean boost switch off... I was hurling at the "Orange" clean tone until you switched that in.

The clean tone on all the Legend models is based on Fender amps, not Orange.

very cool pedals. How then, can I run it in my amp's effects loop while leaving the option for switching to the amp's preamps? all while using my pedal board? is there a particular switcher that you would recommend for this? It seems impossible to not buy some of these and have a "modular" amp....? great demo, as always

I have an M1, S1 and I just got the O2. They're all in my fx loop. When the O2 is disengaged, if I turn on the M1 or the M2, they sound brittle and there's a lot of feedback. It doesn't seem as if the O2 plays well with the M1 or S1. Before anyone asks, no I don't run two at a time, only one at a time. I don't want to use them in front of my Amp because they don't sound good once you've tasted what they sound like in the fx loop. Does anyone know what the issue could be. The M1 and S1 don't give each other any issues.

o2 is not bypasable. if you disengage it (led off) it is basicly emulating a fender-ish clean chanel. if you really want to keep it in fx loop with other pedals you d have to get something like a loop selector pedal to bypass it completly ,wich might be a cool thing because then you will have 4 chanels (m1 s1 o2 and completly clean chanel) at your feet

1) Yes, with a humbucker guitar it is good for sludge sound. 2) Yes, you can use 3 outputs simultaneously.

What about V1? Do you think it handles pedals as good as F1? I ask this because I am divided between these two (V1 vs F1), as they are the only Legend series preamps with fx loop & ch. loop.
