not to forget it's a preamp - it's meant to be plugged directly in the PA/return of your amp. also, it's not full-tube, but hybrid. not everyone would like the sound, but anyway - it rocks for the money it costs, it's light and very compact
@ Linkui - My AMT SS-20 has different knobs to both this one and the one on thier site (rocket knobs). Mine has squareish knobs with different colored position markers.. I'm guessing they just use what they can get? Hell - they are made in West Siberia!! (thats what the pedal says!) so who knows. Changing the tube makes a huge difference.. I put a Mullard 12AX7 in it and it's can be bluesy as hell now.. Hated the factory Sovtek.. If GMD slapped a lower gain tube in I'd bet he'd dig it.
I think the SS11 is probably better suited to your playing, as you mentioned at 4:54 or so. I've heard these dialed in properly for metal (as they're designed) and it's quite good. Nice gear and playing!
Esta es una mala review de este preamp, ya que lo conecta por el input del ampli y debe ir por la entrada directa a la potencia, o en su defecto directo a un P.A o mesa de mezclas. hay otros videos mucho mejores que este. Vean los de bugerman666 por ejemplo, ahi si suena bien este preamp. This is a bad review for this preamp. Watch the bugerman666 reviw for a good one
@inspirazi hi can you please tell me if you know if the AMT SS20 has separate level and eq? I mean can I have the level of the crunch channel at 50% and the Lead channel at 100% or for the lead and the crunch is only a master volume? thanks
