Shot between 6 AM and 10 AM. Few things to note; CBTC is now active on PATH, with some trains running in ATO, and the rest still under manual control. Construction @ the Harrison station is proceeding nicely. NJ Transit's cab car shortage is becoming more evident, with several sets running a motor on each end. Enjoy =)

I used to go to Harrison PATH Station to watch the GG1s in the afternoon before and during rush hours - and well before the parking structure was built. Thanks for the memories!! Great video!

Very homesick looking at this!! Been away from NYC almost 20 years, and I felt I was back in the area. Great job!!!

This was a great video showing the New Jersey/New York section of the busy Northeaster Corridor! Very nice vantage shot with a wide panorama view but just a bit too long for my taste but enjoyable nonetheless! Thanks Fan Railer. This could go into a train museum or time capsule for history's sake!

29:43 NJT is coming from the rightmost Amtrak track, and then cuts over to the center track over the west span Passaic River bridge. All the eastbound trains eschewed that rightmost/east Amtrak track, and took the center track towards Manhattan. Did this train come from Hoboken ? Forgive me; I'm a babe on New Jersey track operations, but would love to learn it. From a track operations viewpoint, this location is EXTREMELY INTERESTING. Aarre Peltomaa p.s. I took the PATH in 1974, when I spent a month in NYC; that thing was like a rocket ! It was fast.

The NJT sections of the NEC make for the best railfanning. They run the most trains, and the most interesting trains fo all the commuter services.

For this weekend, between 33rd and Christopher Street Stations, there's a temporary shut down for train work or PTC upgrading

Hello, this is very similar to Chicago's CTA System. Have you been to Chicago to film?

It looks like this video was recorded at a safe area, maybe an area for railfans to watch the trains go by. I'd like to be there someday, as I'm a railfan.

Nice Video. I caught the R179 testing on the C line on Thursday and Friday. Did you happen to catch it?

It’s crazy how tiny the PATH trains feel compared to the NJT and Amtrak trains

The cab car shortage is due to PTC installation. It's gonna stay this way until December at least. Feels like German DB trains. Whenever they operate two motors on a Inter Citry train for various reasons, DB also prefers each end one class 101 instead doubleheaders even if the cab cars are there and actually work - just not with three ZWS and WTB-computers and they also have speed restrictions to 100 mph when two pantographs are up with less 200 meter / 218 Yards gap. Minimal 7 cars between required for higher speed. So there this is guite common.

With CBTC cutover can the PA4 work motors still operate? (much like the R62A work motors on the 7 are restricted to overnight hours)
