Amtrak The Silver Star On And Off Train Ride 

WOW ! This brings back memories. Used to ride the Silver Star from Philly,Pa. every Feb back in the 1990's. Round trip, This train is usually sold out! I bought a sleeper & meals were included. Just an "AWESOME JOB"

@EdRingwald They Don't care if you get on or off as long as you have a ticket to a station beyond that point. They won't sell you a ticket from Tampa to Lakeland so I bought a ticket from Tampa to Winter Haven and got off in Lakeland. It cost me $9.90 I parked my car in Lakeland and a friend drove me to Tampa then took the train back to Lakeland to get my car. Thanks for watching.

KOOL !!! I had no idea the door windows on the A2 cars went down.

I did in New Jersey back in 1983 when I was 18 years old but they had a mass layoff. I drove a GP 38 locomotive and was a conductor for the North Jersey Coastline RR But I was 15 years old and the conductors and engineers loved me and let me play with the trains like an adult. So I had lots of fun and experience with railroads in my teens.

I remember my first ride on amtrak.

Very interested to see what it look like compare to United Kingdom. Really big train you had also was surprised that no safety or fence up between public and train line. here we do and fewer coach compare to yours.

Yes that's the Teco Trolley Line. I have a video on youtube riding it.

There are other stations along route that would be effected such as Lakeland, Kissimme, Winter Haven and Sebring.

I got a question: How does Amtrak allow you to ride from Tampa to Lakeland? I thought both Trains 91 and 92 stop in Lakeland twice: The going into Tampa direction to only discharge passengers and the coming out of Tampa direction to only receive passengers. In fact, Amtrak has two station codes for Lakeland: LAK for northbound and LKL for southbound, which is unique in the Amtrak system for one station to have two codes. Anyway, this was a great video!

Thanks for subscribing. I Subbed Back. Yes the train ride is great. It last about 45 minutes and cost $9.00 They used to have the Florida rail pass for $249.00 for a year unlimited rides but they did away with it
