OK 3 things. 1) They must had a VERY good sleep. They where out like logs to peacefully sleep though a train horn. 2) Homer has hella good balance and mobility to climb out of car being pushed by a train and go get snacks. 3) That is one strong train conductor to dislodge a car from the front of a moving train with a long pole.
@@Stephie2007 and that’s why now a former suspect of the Colorado police is suing the police department. These cops didn’t try to beat the train but they were so stupid that they parked their car on the tracks and after they cuffed and placed the suspect in the vehicle a train hit that car.
Why can't y'all understand that it's A CARTOON? They're not gonna waste the episode's entire budget researching prototypes and doing field research on the trains to get every little detail correct down to the tiniest screw to please some foamers on YT
@@quillmaurer6563 I never saw that. But I mean like here, where there was only one track, and they cleared it, but suddenly another train comes at them from out of nowhere. Or, for a real life example, like what happened in the Chicago airport several years ago where a train jumped the track and went all the way up the passenger escalator, look it up for picture photos of the aftermath. I don’t think anyone died, but it’s still nightmare-inducing.
The album cover of Mr Big's Lean Into It shows a photograph of a steam train that rolled off the tracks and smashed through a window down into the ground below perfectly lodging itself into the ground in a straight line. It killed one man. He must have been so confused and terrified seeing a train coming towards him from above.
@@gregkiteos1936 Why do people always say "I sure hope someone got fired for that blunder!"? Oh wait people on YT comments are disrespectful in real life.
@duckiesquad9 these "attacks" on the show are actually callbacks to other moments in the Simpsons where the characters point out continuity errors in their media. It's a show of love for the Simpsons in its prime and their self-deprecating writers. No one actually cares about the mistake especially when realistically, that other train would have obliterated the family.
Enjoy and I don’t own this and too much comments and don’t ask of the camera moving cause someone said they won’t enjoy I filmed this on iPad like I said before I’m terrible at holding he iPad
maybe the second track was invisible, and when the track appeared after the car beat the freight train, and the family thought they were safe, it was like PSYCH!!!!
Can we just take a moment and appreciate the work the engineers put in to making this locomotive the strongest train in the fleet? Not even just any train, AMTRAK.
"With Central Japan Railways we drive with Maglevs" "With British Rail we drive on the rail lines" "WITH AMTRAK, RAILS IS RAILS, DRIVE WHERE YOU WANT, RAILS SAME RAILS"
No matter if it's bad weather or even vehicles on the track, Amtrak stops for nothing. They said they'll get you to your destination, and by hell or high water they mean it. lol
It annoys me that 0:13 shows them clearing the track, and makes it clear that there is only one railway, then another one just suddenly appears underneath them. They could have just used careful camera angles to hide the second track, but they didn't. Also, why would he stop the car if they were trying to escape from that cop?
Im pretty sure its just a fictional amtrak train cus the first train (gp7) is hella realistic but the amtrak train looked like if someone tried to look at a picture of an amtrak train for 10 seconds and try to draw the train from memory
This is actually sad bc there been so many instances were trains have hit people in the same situation as this and didn't make it out. So hats down to this scene
I remember watching this on FXX. But they cut out the part where they sleep and Homer getting breakfast from the train. It straightly goes to the engineer removing the car with a pole.
Apparently this episode is considered one of the worst episodes, mainly because too much happens in the same episode. There's the whole spring break thing, then they kill an alligator, then they run, then there's the whole restaurant thing where "I like that", and of course, you have this scene...
That actually isn’t that surprising. After all Homer is known to not be very intelligent or smart so he probably doesn’t know about Operation Livesaver. I myself know very well about Operation Livesaver and what it is about as I have seen many of their safety videos on RU-vid. In fact I am even planning on eventually joining their organization as I am a big fan of it.
GOOF: just when homer almost hit the red train, there was a 1 way track! When homer still parks there, a another set of tracks is visible in the scene! It's a goof! Go tell the simpsons animators to fix it! Goof at 0:19
@@AviatorJC yup, now they go to New York-Penn Station on 34th Street which I’ve seen since I was there back on January 7th 2023 before the stupid name Grand Central Madison for Grand Central Terminal opened for the LIRR, they’ll be sending Metro North to 34th Street-Penn Station aka New York-Penn Station in 2027 with 4 brand new stations such as Co-op City Morris Park Parkchester and Hunts Point then straight to 34th Street-Penn Station
This scene is clearly a reference to The Fast And Furious. You know, the scene where Vin Diesel and the late great Paul Walker compete against each other in a quarter-mile drag race and narrowly avoid getting wiped out by a train.
No, Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry - they were being chased by cops. But instead of being hit by the freight train, they got hit by Amtrak. Even funnier that Homer would climb out of the wreck to get snacks after sleeping. And even funnier that the engineer's solution would be to scrape them off the front instead of stopping.
Hooray for cartoon logic! The car gets smashed up when tumbling down the hill, after surviving skidding along the front of a locomotive. After all, this was season… eleven of The Simpsons? At least they still had some passion. Lol
